It is always sad to hear when people who contributed to our favorite movies have passed away.
Making movies is a huge team effort and the right team coming together can determine the outcome and quality of every aspect of film-making. One of the Terminator 2: Judgment Day team was award-winning set decorator John M. Dwyer; whose work added to the believability of the story on shown screen.

THR reports:
John M. Dwyer, the Oscar-nominated and Emmy-winning set decorator who worked on Jaws, Terminator 2: Judgment Day and Coal Miner’s Daughter, not to mention two series and six films in the Star Trek universe, has died. He was 83.
Dwyer died Sept. 15 of complications from Parkinson’s disease at a hospital in Encinitas, California, his wife of 29 years, Anita, told The Hollywood Reporter.
The sets of Terminator 2: Judgment Day were awesome and will live on film for generations to come. Our thoughts are with John’s family.

Parkinson’s disease is a long-term degenerative disorder of the central nervous system that affects the lives of many people and families around the world, and is the same condition that Michael J. Fox (actor famous for the Back to the Future franchise) has been battling for a huge portion of his life. Michael J. Fox also set up a charity to fund research.
If you can, please take the time to do your own research into Parkinson’s and if you can make a donation- it is for a worthwhile cause in the hopes that one day the world can be free of such diseases.
