Distrib Films US revealed an all new Exclusive Terminator 2: Judgment Day 3D Trailer featuring James Cameron commentary footage via EW (Entertainment Weekly).
François Scippa-Kohn, President and Partner at Distrib Films US, in a statement to EW said the following of the 3D conversion of Terminator 2:
“The 4K 3-D restoration and conversion of the film looks stunning, and after 26 years the film hasn’t aged one little bit,”
James Cameron states some of the following quotes:

There’s a lucidity to it, you really feel like you’re really there!
We’re talking about 25 years later, a lot of fans of the movie weren’t even born when it was made; so for a lot of people it’ll just be the thrill of seeing it in a movie theater, on top of that of course you’ve got the fact that it’s in 3D.
We’re working with the best 3D conversion house in the world which is Stereo D… progressed very quickly to very good results.
I’ve been looking at the film as we completed the 3D… it looks pretty spectacular.
As previously reported/mentioned (on TheTerminatorFans.com) there are going to be new special features and content on the planned Blu-Ray/Home Release of Terminator 2: 3D. This James Cameron commentary will be part of those features in what we predicted will be the Picture in Picture mode.
Bonus View (PiP) means Picture in Picture, meaning we either have inserted commentary/bonus features overlaying the movie.
It is also pretty likely the same James Cameron interview set-up/scenario will carry over into a new documentary, we like the red background/Terminator eye glow feel and it will be great to see the creator of Terminator participating in the bonus content on home release and obviously more so in the future of the franchise itself!
Terminator 2: Judgment Day will hit AMC Theatres in the United States on August 25th!

8 weeks to go awesome, perhaps im blind but I checked box office mojo this film still is not listed for release. What do use or any one predict will be the total box office gross in America for this film ? what would be needed to get the original terminator film re-released in 3D in theatres, now that would be great.
We wouldn’t want to make any predictions but the marketing has been good so far in terms of awareness of the release. James Cameron did say if this movie does well chances of The Terminator receiving a 3D conversion are high!
