One thing Terminator fans appreciate is new Terminator games. There have been some classic games and gaming moments offered up by the Terminator franchise but Terminator games have been lacking in recent years. Thanks to the rejuvenated interest in Terminator and a new movie- we will be getting a number of games to play this year.
You’d think that the games we’re talking about would be Terminator Genisys related but surprisingly Terminator Genisys’ mobile game could be completely overshadowed by games based on the first 2 Terminator movies; ‘The Terminator’ and ‘Terminator 2: Judgment Day’.
The Terminator Digital Game by Mogol Games (PC/Mobile Devices/Online):
As reported in our previous Exclusive story; Mogol Games in Las Vegas will be taking fans and gamers to the world of the original Terminator movie in a game that never ends… The game should be available on mobile devices and PC. The idea is to take gamers into an online community to play the game in the world from the movies, one that players can exist in, most probably building your level.
The Terminator is always an exciting property and we look forward to seeing what Mogol games is doing with it. It is unknown when the game will be released but it is in development and should be available to play on your computer or mobile device.
Terminator Genisys – Mobile Game by Glu Mobile (Mobile Devices/Tablet):
A mobile game is coming to fans courtesy of Glu Mobile located in San Francisco (also a filming location of the movie itself). A mobile game but no console game? This might leave some gamers out in the cold and feeling like they are not being catered to properly. While a majority of internet users are now using smaller devices to browse the internet and game,- a vast majority of gamers still use PC’s and home consoles to surf the net and to play games.
We hope the game will allow users to play as Schwarzenegger’s Terminator character and that it will also be playable on PC for those users that haven’t made the technological leap to fancy phones and tablet devices.
The game will be released to coincide around the release of the movie July 2015. Hopefully the game will also be released as a digital download for home consoles.
Glu was also responsible for RoboCop’s (2014) Mobile Game.
Terminators: The Video Game by Reef Entertainment (Consoles/PC):
A console game that will follow the story of the first two Terminator movies. UK based Reef Entertainment also made Rambo: The Video Game.
It’s unknown what direction the game is taking but we are currently testing out Rambo the video game and even though it’s a rail shooter it is nice to see a games company unafraid to use blood and gore in their games and being respectful of the resource material/license. The Rambo game allowed players to take the role of John Rambo and travel through the first movies in one game plot. Reef Entertainment’s Terminators should do the same.
When we last spoke to Reef they said they were hopeful to release more information this year. A game based on the first two Terminator movies is very welcome and it should stay true to the first two movies.
Terminator 2 Slot Online (PC/Online):
The Terminator 2: Judgment Day Slot Game is blessing our TV screens with advertisements and the success of the online slot game transitions over into 2015 where it’s popularity doesn’t seem to be waning. Many gambling/gaming websites have the T2 Slot Game available.
We managed to track down a demo version of the slot machine by perusing paypal-casinos.co in which you can sample the game with demo credits so you can understand/learn to play the game before spending you hard earned money.
T2 Pinball by FarSight Studios (Console and PC):
The game itself features many different pinball tables , one of the boards is obviously a Terminator 2 board which will keep you entertained for hours as you try to beat your highscore.
The project was Kickstarted in 2014 and has since become available via Steam (PC) and other formats including PS3 (except XBOX 360 due to legal problems preventing it from appearing on the console). We did beta test the game (PC) and helped to promote the campaign on kickstarter.com which was obviously a success, the main obstacle in funding the game was the cost of using Schwarzenegger’s likeness and sound files.
The game was released also on download on XBOX marketplace for XBOX ONE last year and hopefully the XBOX 360 version will be released this year as Microsoft had finally allowed FarSight Studios to seek a new publisher.
A disc version for XBOX one was released in Dec 2014.
Very soon the game will also be released in disc format for PS4; this was a condition set by Microsoft for an exclusive content period. The game will also be available on the PSN network as a digital download.
We look forward to these exciting future releases and giving the fans as much information as possible. Stay tuned.
Which game are you most excited to play?
Let us know what you thought of these games if you are reading this post from the future…

I saw “Terminators: The Video Game” and worried for a moment that it was based on the awful movie by The Asylum!
From my experience, Glu makes solid mobile games but their microtransaction model is absolutely terrible. I’ll happily pay once for a complete game, but paying for individual in-game items (“Free To Play, Pay To Win”) significantly reduces the appeal of a game.
We have never seen that movie and we will do our best to avoid it!

a teminator video game should be in 3rd person….. like salvation game, but better
Terminators: The Video Gmae will be a railshooter like the desastrous First Blood game, the world would be a better place without this abomination…
