It appears that video game company Nacon is developing a Terminator survival game with their new label Nacon Studio Milan.
Nacon, the publisher behind such games as Warhammer: Chaosbane, Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong, and The Lord of the Rings: Gollum also previously acquired Midgar Studio and Daedalic Entertainment to strengthen their hold on the gaming industry.
Interestingly Nacon have also teamed up with with the game developer behind Terminator: Resistance, Teyon, for the upcoming 2023 release RoboCop: Rogue City.
Nacon Milan CEO Marco Ponte stated that:
“We are proud of the direction we are heading in. Originally a team of racing experts, the studio has grown quickly, and our new talent has given us the desire to explore new territory. That’s why we decided to broaden our horizons and try another type of game. We are looking forward to presenting this new project to the world. Our family is growing and we are hoping to welcome new members soon as we build our team.”
Marco Ponte, Nacon Studio Milan CEO
He also stated that:
“We’re making a game in a completely different genre, a survival game based on a worldwide famous film license. This title has been really drawing people in since it’s the first film license of such importance to be made into a video game in Italy. It will be an interesting game, with a combat part as well.”
Marco Ponte
also…
“Our new label is tackling an ambitious project based on the license for one of the world’s most popular film franchises. It will be a survival game set in a post-apocalyptic environment.”

Terminator Survival Video Game Teased by Nacon Studio Milan
The Nacon Studio Milan website states:
“Stay tuned for more details about our new major project under development, a survival game.”

One of the images on the Nacon Studio Milan website shows the Alamo Sport Shop from The Terminator (1984), and also a solo human in the background of the deserted city with only a dog for company – any Terminator Fan will know that the best way to spot a Terminator in the future war is with the use of man’s best friend.
The Nacon brand has previously come under fire for its treatment of Frogwares, the Ukrainian Video Game Studio behind the H.P. Lovecraft inspired action-adventure game ‘The Sinking City‘; for “intellectual property violation” and payment disputes.
To all intents and purposes Terminator: Resistance developer Teyon had moved on from the Terminator franchise with RoboCop: Rogue City – though perhaps following their involvement with Nacon for that very game – they may have had a change of heart. Could this survival game be a sequel, to 2019’s Terminator: Resistance?
Or is this a completely fresh take on the Terminator ip?
In order to set this game apart from Terminator: Resistance, Nacon could potentially make the game third person.
Would you like the game to be first, or third, person?

First and third person I wish 😁
As italian I’m proud that an italian software house is developing a videogame based on an american franchise! Make a Terminator movie in Italy is impossible (and it is also very difficult to make only a science fiction movie) due to economic and cultural reasons. But a videogame… I will buy it.
Third persona! Like the Terminator Salvation videogame
I was already familiar with the Frogwares issue. I was happy to read that Epic Games have given Frogwares an Epic MegaGrant. I hope their battle with Nacon can be resolved before this game comes out. I’ll wait on your review before parting with any money.
if its a survival game i would really hope it is not third person. first is more immersive. i hope its the terminator equivalent of alien isolation. I wonder if this means that Reef Entertainment has passed on the terminator IP then. interesting
