SDCC 2014 NECA Announce RoboCop Vs Terminator Video Game Figures

You may be familiar with NECA and their line of figures based on classic retro games like ‘A Nightmare on Elm Street’, ‘Friday the 13th’ and even ‘RoboCop’. NECA are now proudly doing a 16-bit paint shade style on RoboCop Vs Terminator. It will feature Video Game box art style packaging. It is unknown at this point if this will be done as box sets or individual figures.

Only 4 Terminator Figures have been announced but what is obvious from this excellent display is that there will be 3 other figures, a Gold/Bronze T-800 (reminding us of the old Kenner days) an Endoskeleton variant with Plasma rifle and…. a Terminator Dog figure… wow.

Series 1 – Terminator:

These 2 incarnations of the T-800 really do look great and the Endoskeleton’s ammo pack really does fit well visually into the Terminator mythos. Series 1 of the line includes two versions of The Terminator with paint deco that re-creates the video game shading. The T-800 includes a Plasma Rifle accessory. The Endoskeleton comes with a standing Heavy Machine Gun accessory. Both figures stand 7″ tall.

Obviously in this scenario RoboCop is the good guy and the T-800’s above are pure SkyNet programmed death machines. No nice Terminator machines here… just the way it should be.

Series 2 – RoboCop:

To compliment the two T-800 Units 2 RoboCop figures will also be released. Flamethrower RoboCop including flamethrower accessory with removable “flame spray” attachment and ‘Fire-Damaged RoboCop’ will be covered in flames and comes with rocket launcher and laser pistol accessories. Both stand 7″ tall like the T-800’s.
