The scheduled Terminator (2019) shoot for the Almeria location of the Isleta del Moro started on the 29th of May (yesterday) and has continued today.

A team of Fresco Film (responsible for the production in Almería of ‘Game of Thrones’ or the docufiction ‘The Gate’, on the origins of the Bahá’í faith) works in the area, which will become a Central American town, as point from the radio program ‘Cinema in Series’ . Some thirty extras, of varying ages and of Latin American origin, will participate in the filming – scheduled for the 29th and 30th of this month – after being elected in a casting .

First thing’s first; the Isleta del Moro is a fantastic location with tons of stunning visual potential. Linda Hamilton is already there working on the movie which is really great to hear also for TheTerminatorFans.com, Linda and her Sarah Connor character are the only thing keeping us interested in the project at the moment.
Almeria was very much looking forward to a return of Schwarzenegger to the province for filming and it was presumed he would turn up to the shoot but it doesn’t look like it’s happening and we are now starting to think Schwarzenegger will join the shoot possibly much later on than expected. Of course this is all guess work but the heavy involvement of Brett Azar early on in the project looks very much to be taking the place of Schwarzenegger…

La Isleta del Moro has become an immense set. Numerous trucks with filming material, with kitchens for meals and make-up caravans fill the streets of the neighborhood. The shooting of Terminator 6 has begun . You can already see specialists with costumes for computer animation. The oldest of the place are surprised of the assembly. The bars are doing great business.
For CGI crews to be there points to two things… Brett Azar as a young Schwarzenegger or Gabriel Luna’s villain Terminator but seeing as Brett Azar has been involved in the early production we would guess at the latter.
CGI Schwarzenegger’s really worry TheTerminatorFans.com- we have never enjoyed a digital Arnold sequence, not in Terminator Salvation and not in Terminator Genisys, although many Schwarzenegger fans think those sequences are the best things about those movies. We just don’t like CGI, it ages badly and quickly, as the industry is always evolving and we just prefer real Arnold over digital ones. Can they do a photo-realistic young Arnold?
Well, it fucking needs to be photo-realistic or we’re going to be taken out the movie right away.

does it make me think that schwarzenegger will not be a big part of it? it worries me a little knowing that in Terminator 4 Salvation he was only there in computer graphics and as a fan it’s rather unrealistic 🙁 I keep a glimmer of hope among others that I schwarzy be there in real Terminator!
I would like to see schwarzneggers role similar size and importance to Harrisons in Bladerunner 2049. Not too much and not too little. I think really its time for new blood to the series and move forward. Linda’s involvement is very much a good thing and I see her inclusion more vital than Arnolds at this point. Sarah Connor has always really been the central figure to these films
Its hard to tell but im getting a post apocalyptic vibe from the set up. Do those tall trees naturally grow at an angle where they look like they have been swept over by a nuke?
No, I think you’re right it’s very likely that it’s happening here at this scene. We still do not know if it will be a chachamar sarah connor (Linda Hamilton) or actually the launch of the missiles!
