When deepfake first came along the potential ramifications of what could be achieved by utilizing it were both shocking and intriguing, but over the course of time the endless stream of faceswapping videos began to feel a little old hat. The deepfake is actually pretty convincing, with Sylvester Stallone looking totally believable in the role of The Terminator. It’s almost as if we’re getting a glimpse into an alternate reality where the Rambo star was also the star of the Terminator franchise ala Last Action Hero.
Seemingly AI / crafty editing has also been used to swap out Arnold Schwarzenegger‘s voice with that of Stallone’s, adding more authenticity to the deepfake.
This video also has a few laughs in store for Terminator fans with face swaps from other actors and celebrities. Arnold’s face is actually swapped to one of the punks which will amuse fans, as this particular punk is wearing the outfit Arnold stole and wore in the movie; including Arnold Schwarzenegger’s iconic scenes in Tech-Noir nightclub.
The highlight of the comedy goes to Willem Dafoe as Linda Hamilton‘s Sarah Connor, his face, combined with the iconic 80’s perm and shoulder pads looks other worldly and hilarious in the freakiest way possible.

As a huge Stallone fan I love this. If Stallone had played The Terminator I don’t think he would have allowed Terminator to become a domesticated drapery salesman. I have a soft spot for the first Terminator but Rambo is the better franchise.
