Japan’s Medicom Toy are back with an all new The Terminator action figure, which is to be part of their MAFEX line of collectibles. This ‘The Terminator’ figure will be 160mm in size, 6.3 inches and 1/12 scale. This looks to be one of the best Terminator figures in the smaller and more affordable price range, (that we’ve seen in a long time) and the likeness looks great.
If we had to be critical of anything then the Gargoyles sunglasses don’t look big / wide enough but surely figure collectors will have no problem fixing that with their own modifications. With swappable heads and accessories, this surely will be one of the most sought after Terminator / Arnold Schwarzenegger collectibles of 2022.
This Terminator collectible captures the T-800 in West Highland Police Station massacre attire. Interestingly two of the weapons (AMT Hardballer AKA .45 Longslide and UZI 9mm) and one of the heads comes from the earlier scenes of the movie – before the T-800’s hair got burnt from pursuing Sarah Connor in the back alley behind Tech Noir, this is a nice bonus to compliment the battle damaged T-800 head and additional weapon accessories. Maybe Medicom Toy plan to make a Tech Noir variant that those accessories can be used with at a later date, which would be a smart idea.
