Today is not only the day that The Terminator was released in theaters back in 1984- but yesterday was also the birthday of Terminator producer Gale Anne Hurd (Happy Birthday Gale).
Gale Anne Hurd recently attended Screamfest 2018 to accept a lifetime achievement award and do a Q&A for fans, followed by screenings of The Terminator and Aliens. During the Q&A; 1984’s The Terminator became a part of the discussion and Gale revealed some interesting stories that even we have never heard before. /Film were there to give fans the lowdown…
Studio Executives were trying to have the entire dark ending to the 1984 classic removed altogether in favor of a Kyle Reese and Sarah Connor living happily ever after ending… had Orion has their way- it is likely The Terminator might not have been a cult classic and might just be remembered as an decent movie with an extremely abrupt ending.
Belated Birthday Wishes to Gale Anne Hurd!
