Terminator Fan Jose M. Payá shares new pictures with TheTerminatorFans.com from a very quiet Terminator (2019) set in Catral Spain. Jose was allowed to show us a closer look at the set decoration that will give audiences the illusion of an authentic Mexico setting to the movie and its story.
Jose tells TheTerminatorFans.com:
I’ve been in the set of the new Terminator Movie in Catral today (Friday, July 6th) and I managed to take a couple of pictures of the Mexico part where they have been shooting the chase scenes these last few days. At the beginning the people in charge were a bit reluctant but they have been very kind and have allowed us to take a couple of pics.
Jose told TheTerminatorFans.com that this particular set is taking a break from filming, although filming will commence at a later date. Recent filming has had this set blocked/locked off from the public as scenes involving vehicles (including taxis and police cars) have been doing dangerous stunt driving at the location.
The set itself looks great and we wonder if this set will be allowed to stay at the location in some capacity and be preserved by the local council as a tourist destination. They may need to put some work into making the set resilient to survive long-term (weathering and the elements) but it might be worth considering as an asset to the economy of Catral.
