We live in a world of call backs and nostalgia, even Terminator 2: Judgment Day homages 1984’s The Terminator and, while it needs to stop in movies that audiences want to be serious and realistic, there are some franchises that can get away with it; especially kids movies that might have a little intellectual pay off for the parents attending the theater with their children.
Lego Movie 2’s teaser trailer leans heavy on Mad Max: Fury Road but there is an undeniable Terminator vision reference. Resembling a swish crystal clear Terminator vision from the later Terminator movies (the first movies Terminator vision is the best in our opinion).
