Well, we have had to sit back and watch this once great franchise become totally unrecognizable. Without the super sci-fi team of James Cameron and Gale Anne Hurd ‘the rulers of our planet’ helming the franchise; we have witnessed commercialism to the hilt which has transformed the franchise into something boring, cringe-infested and really unlikable, so much so that if we had not seen the first two films- this website just wouldn’t exist.
The non-Cameron sequels are so parasitic in nature that they have failed to capture the heart of audiences, have lacked scope and imagination and have ripped through the fan-base fracturing the fans and dividing them with corporate propaganda and agendas.
Many hardcore fans just put it simply… there are only 2 Terminator movies and the story ended with Terminator 2 and we back that 100%.
When a new Terminator movie is announced, the first question always is… is Cameron directing? It now seems set in stone that if he isn’t directing you can rest assured that the movie will suck. Skydance Media and Paramount Pictures have depreciated the franchise and shit-stained some good memories.
Cameron has been overseeing a 3D conversion of Terminator 2 which will be with us hopefully by the fall but the real question is will Jim be back with a new Terminator?
Can James Cameron save the franchise by making a real third Terminator canon sequel continuation or, when he gets the rights back in 2019; do you think he should reboot it himself or just sit on the franchise to preserve the memory, integrity and reputation of the first two movies?
