A tweet by a respected source has unveiled a possible new title for the next Terminator movie.
Added prod. office info for Alan Taylor’s TERMINATOR: GENESIS and the indie LILA & EVE starring Viola Davis & @JLo http://t.co/eLno1Z9OUf

The project was previously known as Terminator 5 to fans when they thought they would be getting the future war continuation they always wanted. After Annapurna revealed that the movie would be a reboot the title became known as Terminator (2015).
Now this tweet throws it all up in the air calling the movie Terminator: Genesis.
The name suggests the origin story… but sorry wasn’t The Terminator (1984) a perfect origin story? Personally as much as this movie makes our skin crawl calling the movie ‘Terminator’ seemed a pretty sane choice and if the Genesis title is true it can only be to avoid confusion with the first movie… you know that first real and only Terminator genesis story that James Cameron showed us back in 1984.
This movie does not excite TheTerminatorFans.com staff but we are trying to keep an open mind.
The title could be a working title. The film was supposed to start filming in January and they can’t even confirm a title or include Arnold Schwarzenegger’s name in an official press release when he is supposedly playing the title character? The news is not being presented clearly and the rumors are just plain annoying but maybe that is the aim.
This title has not been confirmed yet but you can mark our words that the press will be asking Alan Taylor or anyone attached to the project as soon as they can.
So what would you like the next Terminator movie to be called… simply TERMINATOR or Terminator: Genesis or you would rather have just had Terminator 5, the continuation of the franchise we originally fell in love with in 1984 and 1991? Tell us in the comments below.

i rather have T5. At the end of the movie they could make a cameo of some characters of The Sarah Connor Chronicles, like Cameron, Weaver, John C., John Henry. T6 could be about giving some conclusion to both the movies and the tv shows. As it is, i’m not excited about it, the story doesn’t convince me.
Why why why a reboot!? WHY!? Is this really the best way they could think of dealing with Arnold’s age difference? Just reboot and then no one is any the wiser!? There have been so many great ideas to deal with this issue, no need to REBOOT! This was the perfect opportunity to pick up where Cameron left off and resurrect and salvage the story after T2. Why no one has looked at using S. M. Sterling’s books as the basic for the next movies I really don’t know, they are fantastic and would work so well especially considering Arnie’s age. For anyone that hasn’t read them, I seriously recommend.
Terminator 5. Genesis sounds lame and we don’t need another origins story. we already have it ffs!
