Digital Domain posted a VFX Breakdown of their work on Terminator: Dark Fate, including work on REV-9 FX and the C-5 plane crash sequence in which the movie’s protagonists battle the movie’s villain, REV-9 (Gabriel Luna) in the C-5’s plummeting fuselage which combined practical and digital work.

Digital Domain was founded in 1993 by James Cameron, Stan Winston and Scott Ross.
James Cameron’s gigantic box office success ‘Titanic’ caused conflicts between the company founders that resulted in feuds which later forced the owners to seek a buyer for Digital Domain in the early 2000’s.

It is great to see a company, which was started by two iconic Terminator Legends, is still going strong and is a respected and successful Hollywood visual effects company.

Let us know what you think of Digital Domain’s finished work in Terminator: Dark Fate.

      A bon entendeur !
