Terminator: Dark Fate – Tim Miller Confirms Test Screenings + LEGION

Terminator: Dark Fate Director, Tim Miller, has further elaborated upon information which very much corroborates aspects of the recent Reddit plot leak details.

We already know, from the Hall R (Reddit) and Hall H San Diego Comic-Con panels, which took place on the 18th of July, that certain details from the leaks are true, details which include…

    • Arnold Schwarzenegger is indeed playing a T-800 named ‘Carl’.
    • The fact that Sarah Connor vows to terminate Carl.
    • The much refuted test screenings – which have now been confirmed as having taken place by the Director himself:

    Tim Miller to ET:

“it was really interesting when we started testing the movie, I was surprised… because you expect… there is a lot of people who haven’t seen those movies, believe it or not – crazy messed up people but you know, you ask questions after that about how they’re tracking the story and I was blown away at how well they [screeners] tracked the story – even if they weren’t hardcore Terminator fans. ‘cos the story… we meant, we tried to do that but we didn’t know we were successful at that until you sorta ask those questions of the audience; who aren’t hardcore fans.”

Tim Miller told ET (Transcribed by TheTerminatorFans.com)

Dani Ramos is the new leader of the Resistance (confirmed by recently leaked audio from the set of T:DF given to Youtuber, Mr H – and transcribed by TheTerminatorFans.com):

    Dani Ramos:

“HK’s. Shoot me and you’ll all be dead in seconds. THIS is what Legion wants us to do – kill each other. We should be fighting the machines, not each other.”

    Male voice (possibly Tom Hopper):

“What do you want? We can’t win”

    Dani Ramos:

“I need you to fight, I need you to be strong. All of you.”

Now Tim Miller has confirmed that SkyNet really is called LEGION, as stated by the leaks:

    IGN Host:

“We’ve got all different sorts of Terminators running around and er, I don’t know what this movie’s about – which is nice.”

    IGN Host (Transcribed by TheTerminatorFans.com)

    Tim Miller:

“But it’s simple that way, if you think that what Sarah did changed the future; how is it gonna be changed? But there are a couple tenets of the Terminator franchise: the rise of A.I is inevitable, Judgment Day is inevitable but it makes sense that if you change something in the past, it’s gonna manifest differently in the future and that difference is manifested in the technology that Gabriel represents – because it’s not Skynet, it’s Legion… “

Tim Miller told IGN (Transcribed by TheTerminatorFans.com)

Which is then followed by a *Gasp* from Linda Hamilton…

    Tim Miller:

“You can say, that’s, that’s, we’ve said that. That’s… that one’s out. That one’s out. She [Linda] just likes to shut me up.”

Tim Miller told IGN (Transcribed by TheTerminatorFans.com)

This information was also recently confirmed by leaked audio from Mr H (transcribed by TheTerminatorFans.com):

    Male voice:

“Look around you lady! This is Legion’s world!”

    Dani Ramos:

“Legion didn’t exist until humans created it!”

So, so far the leaks are looking more true than not, and Tim Miller admits himself that the information regarding Legion as the new alternate SkyNet was already in circulation – a nod to the leaks perhaps?

Will we be seeing all the leaks 100 percent validated upon the release of Terminator: Dark Fate on November 1st (U.S.A)?

This shit will bomb. That’s sure. Only question remains – will they stop making these kind of sequels?

It’s a real shame they didn’t end t2 properly exiting the time loop and Linda going back being waitress and john disappearing from existence. Now we will be looking at reboot…..
They can’t change anything with John story because he have father from the future and we saw him wining the war in t1. He can’t die and they can’t change anithing not even the judgement day because if Rees is his original father and he was always there then so all terminators whore there and john manage to survive and end the war. That’s why I like the idea that Rees actually sealed humanity fate buy making love with Sarah and by doing so giving us a fake John, deleting original, the one that saves humanity, from existence and again by doing so closing the time loop and giving us unknown future. Where we don’t know the outcome of the war. Sry edd u was always a fake John to me

LEGION instead of SkyNet? Well it doesn’t change much… A.I. still declares war on humanity, only now it is written down that it was LEGION that started nuclear war and not SkyNet. Skynet sounds much more cooler, while Legion reminds me of that loveable robot from Mass Effect. Only thing that is truly bothering me is the fate of John Connor. HE is the legend, a mythology of Terminator universe. And being replaced by some new charachter is not acceptable for me. I don’t care if it is a female. I wouldn’t like it even if it was a another dude. But in regard of all this #metoo movement, forcing female empowerment in a way they do it in TDF is too much and they are doing opposite of what they wanna do. I mean… Sarah Connor, Ellen Ripley, Furiosa… all great, strong, memorable female charchaters. Why? Because their charchters weren’t forced to be above male charchaters. They were next to one of the badasst, thoughfest male charchaters in a movie history (Sarah – Terminator, Ripley – Colonial Marines, Furiosa – Max) and they still managed to get above them. Show them they can kick ass as much as them and even more. This now in TDF will just be forced and shoved down our throaths to swallow.

Sounds generic and exhausted as hell. Maybe the have to let it die… The topic of the terminator movies is very specific and they missed the opportunity to make complete trilogy. It’s too late, they rely only on cast to appeal to the hardcore fans, and generic turboshit to impress the new, wider audience.

Less and less interested the more I find out. I will still watch the movie though. Maybe not in theaters. I’ve waited this long, I can wait longer.

As far as a proper connection between LEGION and SKYNET established, I’m cool with that
      But that’s a big IF

I don’t think Skynet becoming Legion even changes anything on a surface level. Here’s the problem — Skynet exists because of Connor. Connor exists because of Skynet. Reese was sent back, by Connor, to ensure his own conception. But in doing that, he (and the threat posed by that Skynet terminator) also *caused* his own conception. Same with Skynet — that terminator’s CPU is what led to the development of Skynet in the first place. Connor-as-leader-of-the-resistance and Skynet-as-threat-to-mankind mutually created each other.

Take either out of the equation and none of it ever happens. That scene in T3 where Connor was going to off himself? Ironically, that was the ONLY thing that would have actually full-brakes *stopped* Judgment day.

No Connor, Skynet never sends a terminator back to kill Sarah. No terminator in that Cyberdyne factory in 1984? No Skynet. No Judgment Day.
