Two big new Terminator 7 stories arrived the same day, delivered by none other than, the questionable news outlet ‘We Got This Covered‘. The fact that this news is delivered by that platform removes nearly all of the weight and excitement from the information, but even if the news was delivered by a reputable source; we aren’t so sure that it would make any difference, in terms of excitement for more Terminator movies.
The news comes again via what seems to be resident ‘insider’ of We Got This Covered, Daniel ‘hope it sticks’ Richtman.
The first news from We Got This Covered on the subject of Terminator 7 was that the new Terminator movie is going to be more of a ‘horror‘ movie:
“Daniel Richtman is now reporting that the next Terminator project will be more of a straightforward horror movie than the mega budget action blockbusters that have characterized the series for almost 30 years.”

Daniel Richtman also claims Arnold has signed on for Terminator 7:
“… reporting that Schwarzenegger is signed on for at least one of them, although he doesn’t offer any further details.”

So let’s get this straight; the first claim is news that many Terminator Fans have been crying out for for many years – a return to the roots and a back to basics approach. Though this has always seemingly fallen on deaf ears with the studios piling damage upon damage, helping to diminish the once great franchise.
If the franchise isn’t working as PG-13 then eventually it would go without saying that a darker approach should at least be seriously considered.
Arnold being back?
What does that even mean?! Arnold is always f*cking back (he was even supposed to return for Terminator Salvation, remember?).
During the promotion for Terminator: Dark Fate, Arnold Schwarzenegger spoke of the possibility of returning once more (after the sixth movie), telling The Inquirer that:
“It’s impossible to say today because every single time, I die in a ‘Terminator’ movie. And somehow, they always figure out how to bring me back. So, I have no idea. It’s one of my favorite characters that I’ve played,”

The We Got This Covered and Daniel Richtman claims thus far:
Paramount have a Terminator: Dark Fate continuation TV Series planned and it’s coming to Hulu, sans Schwarzenegger.
James Cameron wants to make, and oversee, Terminator 7 as a future war movie.
Robert Patrick is back as a new T-1000.
Margot Robbie and John Cena are being eyed to bring fresh blood to the Terminator series.
Paramount Pictures want Terminator 7 to be PG-13 but James Cameron wants to keep it Rated R.
And now…
Arnold is signed back on, and Terminator 7 will be closer to a horror movie.
The problem here is that We Got This Covered and Daniel Richtman seem to be all over the place with their ‘information’, which, to be honest, seems to be based on trend-following, simplified guesswork – and, oh, what fans have made abundantly clear for a long time that they want.
The studios could plan to do all of the above, but we find it doubtful that they would greenlight multiple movies and a TV show all at once; this might happen for something like Batman at DC, or the Avengers at Marvel, but it is questionable that the current dead-horse Terminator franchise would validate such a high investment, that is of course unless Skydance‘s David Ellison has a sheer hunger to burn giants wads of money (though maybe entertainment’s a little thin on the ground at the top at the moment… ?) – though, still, it’s highly doubtful.
Most people would be happy to call this trash news or clickbait, but at any time the studios could validate any or all the information if they wanted to; simply by doing it.
The real question is…
If 1/100 things Daniel Richtman or We Got This Covered says comes to fruition, does that actually make them reliable / credible sources… ?

T7 is set to be the third entry in Skydance’s epic trilogy, a rebootquel starring Sam Worthington as the new T-800 and Arnold Schwarzenegger as Kyle Reese, an elderly resistance sergeant captured with purple lasers who will go on to be the template the T-800’s human disguise is based on.
It would be an excellent idea if they make a horror movie in the style of UNDERWORLD, VIRUS 1999, RESIDENT EVIL.

If there’s anything in this report that could turn out to be true, I’d think it’s the horror angle: horror films are typically cheaper to make than a big, CGI-intensive film, and considering the dire state of the franchise at the moment, a lower-budget horror flick may be the only real course the Terminator series can take at this time. A lower-budget film could also turn out to be a blessing in disguise, as it would force the filmmakers to concentrate on the story and characters instead of fancy CGI and over-the-top action sequences. If nothing else, a future-war movie that’s horror themed instead of a future-war action movie sounds exciting.
Regardless of if this is true or not, we’ll just have to wait, see, and hope this isn’t yet another attempt to start a new trilogy.
IF TERMINATOR WERE A HORROR MOVIE IN THE STYLE OF FILMS LIKE: UNDERWORLD1 AND 2, RESIDENT EVIL 2,3 and 5, GHOST IN THE SHEL; BLADE 2, VIRUS 1999, AND RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD 1 AND 2 MAYBE THE MOVIE WOULD BE REALLY VERY GOOD or EXCEPTIONAL.
I’d like to see development after T-2. They find T-800’s crushed arm from the factory and I want to see what it causes next. I want to see how James Cameron as director finds a way to bring back Arnold’s T-800 and Robert’s T-1000. I want to see Edward Furlong and Linda Hamilton again. I like when Arnold is bad like in T-1 and I like when Arnold is badass like in T-2. In a new Terminator movie Arnold has to be young. Bret Azar and CGI in Dark Fate is perfect and if they really want they can do even better that no one can tell is Arnold real or not. If Robert participate as a T-1000 he has to be young too.
Many fans want the future war movie but I don’t. I like war scenes only as clips. And honestly I don’t need an explanation in the movie why T-800 looks like Arnold. I like the idea that T-800 is always like Arnold. I like the mystery. There is no need to know everything. It’s good if you can imagine something.
I don’t care what rated movie this going to be.I just want to feel the same way watching this movie like when I watching T-1 or T-2.

Cameron will have no say in it and has handed over the reigns to Oleksander Gorgon, the highly acclaimed (in his country) porn director from Lichtenstein. Olek, also known by the nickname “humpy” says it’s a real thrill to be onboard. You will see. I am always correct. Now, for god’s sake, stop making out all my breaking news is bum fudge. It would be awesome if they could bring back the original John Connor. They could bring him back by saying he was wearing a bullet proof vest and that he only pretended to be dead and went into hiding. If Linda Hamilton didn’t want to reprise her role then get the girl that played her character in Terminator Genesis she was a great Sarah Connor. I just hope they don’t stop making the movies. As Arnold Schwarzenegger ages it’s only a matter of time he won’t be able to return as the terminator (good or bad) Perhaps the guy who played Superman in the Justice League movie.

I want to see this famous war between the machines not just glimpses of it then back to time travel snooze fest. A full on war film like the longest day or battle of the bulge. Or for our younger viewers like saving pvt ryan or fury etc. No romance and no more of this time travel loop.

They should have out T5 T6 as sequels to Salvation in a trilogy and stuck to the storyline of T3 John Conner should die in T5 fighting the remaining Skynet by a model T1000 Arnold, and Kate Catherine Brewster, should lead Humans to victory in T6
And then brought out a terminator series with a high budget higher costing than game of thrones, to satisfy other possibilities of the Rev 9 and t3000 etc
