For the first time ever in the Terminator movies Arnold Schwarzenegger will not return to reprise his role as The Terminator. Instead bodybuilder and actor Roland Kickinger will play a 1984 build Schwarzenegger but they will however be using CGI to impose Arnold’s face onto him.
The director McG explains that each new Terminator movie has broken new grounds in Hollywood and this time they plan to do something original by bringing a young Arnold Schwarzenegger back to the big screen.
Arnold was unable to return due to issues (mainly explained as he wanted the movie/ his scenes to be filmed in California to bring money back into California and bring in jobs at the end of his run as Governor).
