We were contacted on our Youtube by Alastor Ryodan who gave us the heads-up on what they believed to be confirmation of John Connor’s alleged death scene in Terminator: Dark Fate.

The video that Alastor linked us to comes via Youtuber Adrián Ruiz V and is a clip from Excélsior Informa (a Mexican cable TV station), the clip is of Tim Miller, Linda Hamilton, Diego Boneta, Natalia Reyes and Mackenzie Davis at a recent Mexico fan event to promote the new movie.

The panel was asked questions by a host (though we can’t be sure what was asked due to the questions not being audible) – when the questions got to Linda Hamilton, she was asked about her character of Sarah Connor in T:DF.

    Linda states:

“She just has to keep going um, in this film it’s different because she doesn’t have- ”

    Linda Hamilton

*Linda looks to Tim Miller for reassurance

    Linda continues:

    ” … her job is just… “

    Linda Hamilton

    Tim Miller interjects:

“She’s trying not to give you any spoilers… “

    Tim Miller

    Linda Hamilton says:

“Right. I don’t wanna spoil it but um, so her mission is different but… her belief system is the same. She’s still a woman al- you know, alone; really doesn’t… obviously is against technology and she’s not really a fan of human-kind either. So she really is a woman alone. Um, this film, I think is mostly uh, motivated… Sarah is motivated by just sheer rage and vengeance (*inaudible*)”.

    Linda Hamilton

Linda very much appeared to need the greenlight for disclosure from Tim Miller when speaking about the loss that the character of Sarah Connor has experienced to get to the person she has become in Terminator: Dark Fate, and, with the potentially pertinent information divulged by the leaks regarding the termination of John Connor (sometime after the events of Judgment Day) – Linda Hamilton’s apparent near-miss would seem to add yet more credibility to the possibility of the Terminator franchise moving forward without its prophesied leader.

It’s a franchise that deals with alternate times and the consequences of changing things, that means ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN AND ANYTHING CAN CHANGE!

Yeah, but assuming they don’t know already, who’s going to care once they find out? Five minutes in and the stakes are the same as T1/T2 again, just with a replacement for John. If they’re really going to mess with the timeline again, then it’ll be Genisys 2.0, government name: Legion.

Its not merely a replacement for John. Both Hamilton and Davis take the protector role in this film whereas Dani becomes the new Sarah. The future mother of the future leader of the human resistance. As Sarah herself says when asked by Davis’ character “Whybdo you care?”…. and Sarahs reply “Because I was her”.
