Brad Fiedel is giving you the opportunity to enter a unique contest in celebration of the 30th Anniversary of the Terminator franchise.. The prize? He will compose a movie theme with you as Director and then Brad will release all copyright to you… yes Brad Fiedel will compose a theme for you. What you do with this music will be up to you.
Brad Fiedel is the composer of the first two Terminator movies and has been absent on subsequent sequels. This has left a stale taste in the mouth of Terminator Fans across the world and any Terminator movie that doesn’t feature a composition by Brad Fiedel is considered to be a poor imitation/unofficial Terminator movie/product.

Fans of The Terminator! This is your chance to express your passion for the film, and that iconic musical score. You are invited to create your own original rendition of The Terminator theme, but without any recorded music or conventional instruments. Each entry should be uploaded to YouTube and tagged with #TerminatorContest. Brad Fiedel will personally view and judge each entry, with the winning submission chosen on October 31st. The winner will receive a completely original musical theme, composed by Brad Fiedel himself!

We have forever hoped for Brad’s return. Skydance Productions and Paramount are currently making the new ‘Terminator’ movie and it would be careless for them to not approach Brad, it could do them huge favors especially with fans who want more keyplayers involved with the movie (something lacking aside from Legacy – formerly Stan Winston Studios and Arnold Schwarzenegger).
In a previous Exclusive news story Brad Fiedel told TheTerminatorFans.com the following:
“I feel very lucky that I had the opportunity to create the scores for the first two Terminator films, and am at a point in my life where I’m happy to let those scores stand as my contribution to the Terminator story.”
We will still however hold out hope that Studios may one day have the common sense to get Brad to score a Terminator movie and that Brad may have some new inspiration for new Terminator soundtrack material. Terminator 2 is over 2 decades old and it would be interesting to see what the evolution and advancement in music software and technology would allow Brad to create as he was always years ahead of his game on the first 2 movies. He made the sound of mechanical machines come to life.
This is a fantastic opportunity and you don’t even need to be able to play an instrument. The prize is unique and the winner will be a very lucky person.

Great contest by a great musician. With all the alleged dedication the makers put into the new Terminator movie, I would be surprised they would not want to bring in the original composer. I saw Megan Ellison’s response to your prior tweet…let’s tease her again to bring Brad Fiedel back. Even better, how about to set up a (free) campaign on Change.org?
It is probably too late to set up a petition we have sent another tweet to Megan Ellison and Skydance regarding Brad Fiedel (now embedded in this post). Fans just need to speak up more.
