The official T5 hype has begun! Just the other day we were led to believe Arnold would be a human fighting The Rock as a Terminator with antique weapons in the 1940s…
Now Arnold Schwarzenegger confirms… he will be back as THE TERMINATOR.
TheArnoldFans.com as previously mentioned, had correspondents reporting at the 21st Century Financial Education Summit seminar and they got the great T5 news from the Austrian Oak himself.
The full quote from TheArnoldFans.com:
“In fact, I’m very happy that the studios want me to be in Terminator 5 and to star AS the Terminator, which we start shooting in January and I’m also going to do King Conan – to play that role and also to do another Twins movie. So I feel very proud of that. I feel very happy and I’m looking forward to doing those films.”
So was the news we heard the other day just an early version of the script that got scrapped… does Arnold saying he will be back as The Terminator mean he will be back as a machine or… does his human character earn the status of The Terminator for managing to beat the Rock’s machine ass?
One thing is for sure to not have Arnold back as a cyborg is a big mistake waiting to happen Chief Master Sgt William Candy anyone?
We are open to Arnold appearing as a human in the Terminator series at some point… maybe in 10 years time but not now.
Arnold still looks good enough to play a machine! So make it happen Hollywood!
Check out our article on discussing the aging of Terminators and how it is possible with the right script writing:

Now here’s hoping this movie is set in the future and not the 1940s/50s URGH!

No, he’s too old, and his time away from bodybuilding and acting has left him out-of-shape. Look, I love Arnold, also, despite his various faux pas’ in real life, but he no longer has the face or the body to play as the Terminator, and it’s ridiculous to assume he could not do anything else. Why couldn’t there be other faces and bodies for T-800s? Why this stubborn insistence that it’s not Terminator unless Arnold is playing a T-800? It’s foolish, silly; let the man have involvement in a non-Terminator portion of the story, something equally important.
They should use Arnold with greensuit, and a young CGI version of he’s face.
If well made, that could very well work.
