While we might be extremely tired of overused/repetitive one-liners and homages to already existing moments and sequences (this started with Terminator 2) in the Terminator franchise, the new 2018 edition of the Harley Davidson Fat Boy would, in our opinion, be a welcome vehicle addition to the new Terminator movie.
The 2018 Fat Boy looks like a beast and seeing as the new Terminator movie sounds like it will have a huge chase element, including a highway chase event,- seeing the Fat Boy rip up the tarmac would be damn cool as its engine roars in the action.
Will any of the characters ride this motorcycle in the movie? It would be nice to see Arnold Schwarzenegger reunited with the vehicle for sure and fans may get angry if another character rode the machine.
When it comes to color we like the Vivid Black and Wicked Red / Twisted Cherry (shown below)
There is another option for a Fat Boy appearance in the new Terminator movie but it would require Skydance to buy the original bike at an upcoming auction and we would like to think that after using it for the movie they wouldn’t “hog” it to themselves and perhaps do something charitable with it- connected to the new movie with perhaps Arnold and OMAZE. Arnold may still own a T2 Fat Boy in lock-up also (unless he sold it), so that could be a fall back option.
The sad thing is the bike might end up needing work if it was to be used for action and replicas made for fodder/destruction but it might make more sense to plonk it in the background of a scene as a small nod to the past and use the 2018 edition for the movie itself. The T2 edition could be outside a Mexican bar, parked on a street corner or be owned by a cartel member (plenty of ways to use the original Fat Boy as a background prop. Also, instead of just blurting out a Terminator 2 oneliner or copying an action gag; having this baby in the background in a passing scene would just be a smarter and much more classy homage for the fans.
So would you like to see the new Fat Boy, the the screen used Terminator 2: Judgment Day edition (or both) in the new movie, or should we move on from the Fat Boy and just have a new model of vehicle defined as a classic Terminator vehicle for a new generation (providing the movie is a classic and the success fans want it to be)? Personally we think the 2018 Fat Boy looks amazing and we would love to see it in the new Terminator trilogy.

This is his trademark! removing it will be a mess especially if it is a continuation of 2
The 2018 Fatboy is an atrocity. As a matter of fact, the entire 2018 Softail line seriously needs to go. It took away the entire purpose of the Softail frame, which was to look like the older rigid bikes while having a hidden rear suspension. The redesigned shape of the swing arm totally takes away from this.
Through in the severely chopped rear fender, the space age headlamp, and the things they call wheels on it and it’s just a disaster.
If there is one model that should have remained untouched, the Fatboy is it. It had such a classic look while being the perfect muscle bike.
