Character Actor, Dick Miller, has sadly passed away at the tremendous age of 90 years old on January 30th, 2019. Famous to Terminator Fans as being the clerk in the Alamo Sports Shop and first firearm victim of The Terminator as portrayed by Arnold Schwarzenegger in the 1984 setting.

What Terminator fan isn’t familiar with the Alamo Sports Shop? This is the location that the T-800 (Schwarzenegger) first obtained his weaponry which would help him to fulfil his mission of terminating the mother of the future leader of the human resistance, Sarah Connor.

    – Alamo Sports Shop Clerk

Dick Miller will never be forgotten by Terminator Fans, his character was presented with a monosyllabic cyborg customer asking for futuristic weaponry that definitely did not exist in 1984 (phased plasma rifle in the 40 watt range is a Terminator staple in the year 2029) but in good salesman fashion he (Mr. Miller) continued on to try and make a sale.
As the Alamo Sports Shop clerk notified the T-800 that there would be a 15 day wait on the handguns; his fate was sealed as The Terminator was already loading shotgun shells and preparing to shoot the clerk at point blank range.
Regardless of a wide clearance sale at the Alamo Sports Shop this T-800 wanted the guns for free…

Dick Miller’s dialogue and exchanges with the T-800 remain highly quotable by fans today, and we are extremely sad to have lost yet another Terminator legend.

    RIP Dick Miller.
