By seeing Dawn of the Planet of the Apes you will get to see Jason Clarke in action as Malcolm (a name in homage to Mcdowell, the original Ceaser obviously). It will be a little bit like a Terminator movie but it will replace Terminators with Apes. The character of Malcolm looks to be a diplomatic one who seems to be (from examining trailers) very much in the middle and does not want a war between Ape and man. It is very easy to imagine that this movie will give glimmers of what clarke will do with John Connor unless the reboot has altered the character of John Connor (evil John Connor is an idea we have touched upon before).

We do have to say that the techniques in this movie are utilizing CGI in new ways which is giving more realism to CGI driven characters with the use of live staging and advanced motion capture technology. Man’s narrow-mindedness will obviously lead to a full on War between man and ape in this movie and the movie will likely pull on our heart strings as we watch the apes get killed by the evil of man… We want the apes to win this war! Hopefully Jason Clarke can help the apes out as much as he can as long as he isn’t Terminated by them!

This video really does seem like a homage to Terminator… the ape has the same motions of a T-800 and facial expression. If you replaced the Ape with Arnold this could be a scene out of the next Terminator movie!

If you go to see the movie please come back to this page to tell us about it and what you thought of Jason Clarke in one of his meatier roles. Are you excited to see how Jason will portray the future leader of The Resistance in Skydance’s Terminator: Genesis?

This summer man will fight ape, next year the war between mankind and machines begins…

Australia is already showing the movie, US gets the movie tomorrow July 11, 2014 and the UK will get to see the movie on the 17th of July.
