Jai Courtney Confirmed as Kyle Reese in Terminator: Genesis

Now, I’m not usually right when it comes to guessing things. But this time I was and I feel like I should’ve bet some money.

Jai Courtney is now confirmed, conflicting schedules have been ironed out and Jai is now 100% working on the project. He is the new Kyle Reese PERIOD…

Jai Courtney:

“We start next month and yeah, I can’t wait. I’m getting prepped as we speak.”

In Terminator Genesis, which seems to be the least anticipated Terminator movie to date, Jai Courtney is set to play Kyle Reese. Now I know there will probably be lots of you saying he’s not really the new Kyle Reese because no one but Michael Biehn can play the part. Indeed, Biehn’s portrayal is legendary and I can’t watch any movie of his without thinking of that role.

Kyle Reese is a big role to be put in and I’d be scared about playing the character. The character is so iconic and I know there would be fans that would be highly judgmental so I wouldn’t have room to mess up. But, at the same time, I’d be excited to have the role.

So hopefully Jai Courtney will do a good job and make Terminator Genesis at least bearable.
