“We wrap up this week the VFX for Genisys” a source close to the production of Terminator Genisys has told us.
The particular department that wraps this week was responsible for the CGI Arnold T-800 (old and young) scenes in the movie including the 1984, flashbacks and more. The department was also responsible for the Spider Tank otherwise known as the ‘Spider HK’.
Presumably once the footage has been finished it will go in for editing which will be followed by the 3D conversion.
It is unknown at this time if departments for other VFX sequences still have other deadlines to meet. Like most Terminator movies multiple departments handle different tasks and sequences.
So, there you have it; the young CGI T-800 (referred to on IMDb as young T-800) scenes are nearly 100% complete and July will reveal if it was a success or not!
