Child Actor to Portray SkyNet in Terminator: Genisys

While trawling through IMDb before,- we noticed something and we just noticed right now that one of our users has noticed it too (Ralph Jr Trozzo) so, let’s address the problem and this is a problem to us. A child actor (Nolan Gross) is going to play SkyNet in Terminator: Genisys. Now, we think this could just be a voice role but could we soon see a hologram child like; some abysmal Resident Evil Movie enemy clone. We can’t necessarily rule that out at this stage with the way this movie is panning out.

SkyNet should not have a voice or face (a mistake made in Terminator: Salvation).

I don’t want to see one of the most ruthless enemies in Hollywood’s history to be portrayed by a child!

    PERIOD!

There is also a slight resemblance to a young Edward Furlong but that would have no other connection unless SkyNet is John Connor in the movie (Jason Clarke), or if this is mislabeled and he plays a young John Connor on a dirt bike to re-enact even more homages and scenes (homages confirmed). I thought this was supposed to be “stand-alone”? Why do we need to keep harking back to scenes that we already appreciated and have seen a million times before anyway?

Whoever came up with this SkyNet/Child idea needs to get someone round to their home to check for a gas leak.

I have nothing more to say on the matter unless you want a fan to rage on for decades instead of the machines…

This isn’t new and has been done so many times before… Another example is 2001: A Space Odyssey from 1968!

I don’t have a problem with Skynet having a voice and face or just a voice as long as it’s creepy. As long as it invokes power and that you can’t do anything to stop it (sort of like how people go on and on about Morgan Freeman’s voice).

A child CAN’T do that. Maybe they can be somewhat creepy, but not the power that the role needs.

I totally agree with you. It needs to be an adult male though. James Earl Jones would have been perfect! Well in my humble opinion he would be.

I agree skynet should be a faceless, silent, menace. I have yet to hear anything about Genisys that gives me reason to be optimistic about the resulting film.

what?! that is a stupid idea. i don’t want to see SkyNet have a face or voice. it should be a silent entity. not like in Salvation where it was a woman from the past that SkyNet used as its face which was stupid ><

Hello Reg. Yes, it was a bald Helena Bonham Carter. Normally, she has lovely thick hair and lives in North London. (At least she did).

Hello guys and gals. I would like to think about this from another angle.
We know Skynet is ruthless, without compassion and empathy. I don’t think it cares about how it speaks but because Skynet is not stupid, it would have observed human responses to certain scenarios.
If it can convince the humans that it has utilized children for unthinkable horrors, then it will use their images and voices to alarm us or get the future humans talking in the same way that you both would like it to be, just for effect.
Here is a good example; I hate net curtains, I can’t see through them properly, so I decided to ditch them. I have massive front windows and need something to keep my front room private.
I ordered off the internet a roll of one-way perspex film which is now covering my entire windows. From the outside it looks like aluminium foil but inside I can see out perfectly.
People keep looking at it and some people have asked me what it is. They don’t seem to like it but I pointed out that most other windows have nets, so why can’t I be different?
My point is, what people expect from films, is put there over the decades by film makers to make something sound more creepy. But to me, creepy is using a child, when the future humans do not know the fete of that child. Especially as most skinned/fleshed terminators are created by Skynet from a human that they have executed or imprisoned and used for forced labour and possibly starved.
