Yesterday was quite a stressful time for Terminator Fans when TMZ reported that Arnold Schwarzenegger had complications during open heart surgery- which lasted several hours.

    The initial report by TMZ:

Sources connected to Arnold tell TMZ, the 70-year-old Schwarzenegger went to Cedars-Sinai Thursday for a catheter valve replacement. We’re told the surgery is somewhat experimental and he developed complications.

Doctors were prepared in case the catheter valve replacement failed … and quickly decided Arnold needed emergency open-heart surgery, which we’re told lasted several hours.

This is not the first time Arnold has gone under the knife for heart surgery. He had an aortic valve replaced in 1997. At the time doctors didn’t feel the procedure was urgently needed, but Arnold decided to do it while he was still young. He also said at the time the condition was congenital and had nothing to do with steroids.

As for his condition … we’re told he’s stable.

TMZ later updated and stated that an open heart surgery team was on standby. It was a relief to find out that the surgery was indeed pre-planned by Mr. Schwarzenegger himself and from the sounds of it the surgery/procedure went very well.

10:40 AM PT — Arnold’s people just told us the following … the procedure was “to replace a pulmonic valve that was originally replaced due to a congenital heart defect in 1997. That 1997 replacement valve was never meant to be permanent and has outlived its life expectancy, so he chose to replace it yesterday through a less-invasive catheter valve replacement. During that procedure, an open-heart surgery team was prepared … in case the catheter procedure was unable to be performed.”

The rep says Arnold’s recovering from surgery and is in stable condition. His first words after waking up: “I’m back.” Naturally.

Arnold Schwarzenegger now becomes even more like a machine as he received a real life upgrade. Many fans witnessed The Terminator in the 1984 film repair itself to continue on with its mission.

When the initial report from TMZ emerged we reached out to Arnold’s crew to authenticate the situation and we did receive a message back at the time confirming the surgery and we were told that…

    “he is great!”

Any fans still worried no longer need to to be and while the T-800 goes through a cycle of cyber flesh regeneration we can all get back to anticipating the next Terminator movie.

In the hospital pic, he looks suspiciously healthy looking and youthful in his face more accurately, his cheeks and forehead. Maybe he had a face lift during the process. But one thing is for sure, the reason they have delayed shooting which was scheduled for March and moved to June / July.
      Get better ASAP arnold!

Get better Arnold, good health for you, i might strongly disagree with your “artistic” input in the last 2 Terminator sequels but as a human being, as a person i wish you nothing but good health and happiness in life.
