So Arnold Schwarzenegger says he is up for Terminator 5 and the question on the fans lips is… When is Terminator 5 happening? Well until Annapurna Pictures makes an announcement we are in the dark but judging by the Austrian Oak’s filming schedule there could be a number of projects that will happen before the Cyberdyne Systems Model 101 returns to the big screen!
At the start of next year the ball will start rolling with Schwarzenegger’s return and the first movie will of course be ‘The Last Stand’.
The Last Stand:
‘The Last Stand’ has been described as a modern day western in which Arnold will play Sheriff Ray Owens who will protect a small town from a bunch of hardened criminals. At TheTerminatorFans.com we are not very excited about the project and the majority of our users on facebook hated the new poster featuring a goofy Johnny Knoxville as his comedic sidekick, which is Pretty funny seeing as we did an April Fool’s joke a while back stating Knoxville would be John Connor in the next Terminator movie.
Ten:
His next movie after that will be “Ten” (formerly Breacher) which we hope will turn out to be a real Arnold movie from the days of old school.
The Legend of Conan:
Arnold has also signed on for a fourth Conan movie which currently has the title ‘The Legend of Conan’. Little is known about the project other than Universal are in charge and will be using Chris Morgan; the horrific writer from ‘Fast 5’ and ‘Wanted’. Fans hope to see an older ‘King Conan’ as depicted at the end of the last Conan movie (sat on his throne).
TWINS 2 (Triplets):
Interest is also pretty high for a Twins sequel and the project is going ahead with a new writer!
Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito’s 1988 comedy film Twins, portrayed the two men as polar opposites who met and went in search of their mother. Schwarzenegger played a physically perfect man, who lacks worldly knowledge, while DeVito took on the role of a small-time crook.
A while ago, it was reported that a sequel was in the works, which would bring in Eddie Murphy as a third brother. The new film, called Triplets, is indeed going ahead, much to the delight of Schwarzenegger fans and those who love a good old cheesy comedy.
Reports have stated that the script is going to be written by Josh Gad, who is known for acting in “Love and Other Drugs”, “The Rocker” and Trey Parker and Matt Stone’s Broadway hit The “Book of Mormon” and Ryan Dixon who looks after operations at screenwriting analysis company ScriptShark. It is likely that this new film will appeal to many people, from those who like to play Cheekybingo in their spare time, to others who prefer to get their entertainment through other means of escapism.
Ever since Schwarzenegger returned to acting, after his stint as a governor, he has been talking about a Twins sequel. Apparently the actors, Schwarzenegger, DeVito and Murphy are all attached to the film, as is Ivan Reitman who produced the first film and will return in this aspect again.
In an interview, Schwarzenegger said of the sequel, “I can see a billboard with us three. ‘They found another one!’ ‘Triplets!’ ‘Only their mother can tell them apart!’ I would do that in two seconds, because that’s real entertainment.” There is no word as yet when this film will start production, however we’re sure there will be word when it does.
This will be the first script written by actor Josh Gad, so let’s just hope he’s able to write a fantastic script which keeps the story in the tone of the first movie…
