We previously reported that the highway chase in Terminator: Dark Fate received a nomination to win a Taurus World Stunt Award this year. The award was for “Best work with a vehicle” for the practical driving in that particular sequence.
Practical elements/driving aside; we know many shots in the chase scene were digital trickery and we saw glimpses of that when Director Tim Miller did a scene breakdown for Vanity Fair.
Now thanks to Czech visual effects studio UPP we can see more of their work on the movie – and while some of the VFX work was noticeable to keen eyes, UPP did manage to fool us a few times into thinking some stuff was real when it wasn’t.
