You control a core army, which you carry over from mission to mission on a strategic map. The gameplay is centered around making decisions about units placements and combat to increase replaybility, and deliver a truly action-oriented experience.”
Hot on the heels of Reef Entertainment and Teyon Games‘ recent Terminator: Resistance Annihilation Line DLC; Terminator: Dark Fate – Defiance will offer a single player campaign mode with 13+ levels which will allow players to play as a Commander of humanity’s ‘Founders‘ faction and make their way across a map, targeting multiple objectives.
The founders faction is the equivalent to the United States military post-Judgment Day. Reportedly, Legion, the Resistance and other factions such as cartels will also be an available option for players; with the outcome of the story, and game, being affected by whomever you choose to align yourself with.
This is not the first time the Terminator franchise has ventured into the realm of RTS gaming; Terminator: Resistance (not to be confused with the FPS game), Terminator Genisys: Future War, Terminator: Dark Fate The Game, all stepped into the genre – even Terminator 2: Judgment Day recently made an appearance in War Planet Online. The difference this time being that it will take the graphics up a notch and be playable on the PC only, unless subsequent console deals are made the future.

Features:
Campaign
- Start humanity’s resistance against the machines by surviving engagements with Legion and rallying others to your cause. In the post-Judgement Day world, the greatest threats may not come from the machines but rather from other human survivors.
- Traverse various dangerous locals, find additional allies and supplies and navigate the brutal differences between competing human factions.
- Engage in complex, realistic battles where your tactical decisions are vital to your survival and ultimate victory. Use a variety of military equipment, vehicles and ammunition types in your battles against the enemy. Recruit and train new units, assign new skills and acquire new weapons and equipment to continue the resistance.
- Your battlefield tactics and choices have deep consequences. Your resources are limited and you must protect your army. Weapons of war receive damage through a modular component damage system where armour characteristics, component malfunctions and hull structure all affect if your troops survive.
- Recruit others to your cause and grow your army. Mix and match the composition of your troops to fit your preferred battle tactics. Use infantry units, heavy armoured military vehicles, plasma cannon technology, drones and other flying units and even human skirmishers to achieve victory.
- Use the battlefield to your advantage! Physics-based building demolition lets you generate a realistic set of tactical consequences, especially in urban areas.
- Test your skills in online multiplayer matches.
- Fight against human opponents in 1v1, 2v1, and 2v2 multiplayer matches.
- Lead a detachment of “deserters” forced to fight for their existence, opposing not only machines but also a structured army of the resistance.
- Dive deep into complex, realistic battles where diverse equipment, vehicles, and ammunition vary their impact on the battlefield.
- Protect your army. Damages are calculated by taking into account different armor characteristics, partial malfunctions of vehicle compartments, and hull structure.
- Grow your army! Mix and match small infantry groups with heavily armored military vehicles with plasma cannons, drones, air units, or groups of armed refugee.
- Travel a world that survived the judgment day, control the consumption of your supplies, communicate with survivors and interact with entire factions.
- Train units, assign new skills, and purchase new weapons and equipment.
