In late January TheTerminatorFans.com were aware that writing was still ongoing for the untitled Terminator Reboot/Sequel to Terminator 2 Judgment Day AKA Terminator (2019). We had some suspicions that the project may be facing a slight delay from the initial planned March filming start date (due to writing continuing) the filming start date of march was ever looming and usually in such situations a delay could be inevitable- that is if studios don’t want to stumble forth into a mess of a movie that does not have an adequate script- and with a movie like Terminator (2019) which has involvement of James Cameron; fucking up is now really shouldn’t be on the cards because this franchise is barely standing at this point.
This is not to say that principal photogrpahy won’t start in March as planned but ‘IF’ there is a delay then May now looks to be the possible start date or at least the filming start month of the character of Dani Ramos (the new proposed central character for the Terminator franchise).
ACTORS MUST BE OVER 18 YEARS OLD BY MAY 1, 2018 AND COMPLETELY AVAILABLE FROM MAY TO NOVEMBER 2018 TO SUBMIT AN AUDITION.
A 2 month delay seems logical and also a smart move, we would rather delays be made for the right reasons than to rush ahead.
Omega Underground recently revealed some audition videos that had been submitted by actresses for the role of Dani Ramos. We gave our thoughts on the audition we thought was the best of the batch but obviously there will be perhaps many more auditions that may have been submitted by other actresses.
The audition process/casting call was, it seems, instigated via a website set up by the studios and asked actresses of hispanic and latina heritage aged 18 and over to submit auditions for a lead role in the new Terminator movie.

Prospective actresses could then download a scripted scene (we stand by the fact that we find the scripting/sample dialogue poor) but this might not be in the movie, names could be changed and it could also be an earlier version of the script.
The deadline for auditions was February 15th 2018, so pretty much expect the announcement of the actress playing Dani Ramos any time…
Dialogue bounces on a freight train journey between Dani Ramos and a character previously mentioned as ‘soldier’ but in the audition script is listed as Grace… the character of Grace read like Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Terminator character to us and other fans… or Grace could potentially be another female character (from the future?) as writer Billy Ray previously told TheTerminatorFans.com that the new Terminator movie would feature multiple “fully-dimensional” and “epic” female characters. It slightly worries us if the movie is to have loads of main characters as the best Terminator movies had a small core unit that you could sit and connect with as you watch the movie; hopefully this movie won’t turn into a van full of 10 characters you don’t give a shit about while Linda and Arnold are sat in the back looking like they wish they had not signed on to do the movie. Is it wrong that we would have preferred and been more than happy if Sarah Connor and Tarissa Dyson had been the core female force of the movie or instead of Ramos perhaps Kyle Reese could have come back to re-ignite the old love story (the only one that mattered in this franchise)?
We would finally however like to bet that ‘Grace’ is Sarah Connor in this dialogue- although the word “affirmative” could throw some fans off there is another reason we believe Grace is Linda Hamilton and that is because Skydance also produce a TV show called Grace and Frankie and calling Sarah ‘Grace’ in the audition script would be kind of a Skydance in-joke to themselves.
Who is Dani Ramos to Terminator Fans… aside from some character that came out of a writers room not that long ago, if she was so damn important why was she never mentioned in the first two movies? Oh wait… the good old excuse of the timeline has changed, of course it has changed after blowing up Cyberdyne Systems, but so much so that the Connor’s are soon to possibly fade away into obscurity?
