2017 is however a great year for Terminator Fans, we have a new 3D remastered version of Terminator 2: Judgment Day around the corner, the original 35mm tape was scanned/restored/remastered and degrained in a 4K format ; While the sound was converted to a state of the art 3D surround sound format to rap up the action and spectacle in theaters!
A new Terminator 6 movie in the pipeline being produced by James Cameron! Which will be his first true official involvement with the franchise since 1996’s Terminator 2: 3D Battle Across Time theme park attraction and first Theatrical project involvement since Terminator 2: Judgment Day and there is a welcome chance that it will continue James Cameron’s original timeline and story!
Check out this cool picture of the T-1000, for once not trying to kill the savior of mankind- spot the 101 easter egg! CSM-101 is indeed the model number attributed to Schwarzenegger’s likeness on the T-800 Terminator Unit (Cyberdyne Systems Model 101)
The franchise itself has certainly had its ups and downs but things are feeling much more positive for the future of the property.
