Terminator Salvation’s Michael Ironside Reconnects With The Terminator Franchise

The Terminator Ghost Recon Breakpoint Michael Ironside

General Ashdown is back… well, kinda. Terminator Salvation actor, and all round badass, Michael Ironside (fond memories of Total Recall ensue) is making a return to the world of Tom Clancy with Ghost Recon: Breakpoint.

Michael Ironside as General Ashdown in Terminator Salvation (2009)

Ghost Recon’s official twitter released the information via a trailer which featured the voice of Ironside, who played John Connor’s superior officer ‘General Ashdown’ in Terminator Salvation, discussing the “Auroa situation”.

Michael Ironside however won’t be voicing General Ashdown (sadly for those fans who like Salvation) but instead will be voicing ‘Sam Fisher’; a character he previously voiced for the first five installments of Tom Clancy’s ‘Splinter Cell’ series, in the new adventure – “Deep State” – .
His character may however cross paths with some Terminators, as teased by the trailer.

“Ever heard of something called a Terminator?”

Sam Fisher AKA ‘Deep Blue’

Ubisoft haven’t clarified the full extent of Sam Fisher’s involvement in the Breakpoint crossover but it could very well be that the Splinter Cell character may have been called in as back-up for the situation taking place on the fictional pacific island of Auroa.

‘Deep State’ goes live on March 24th, 2019.
