Terminator Salvation: Fight For The Future VR by SPACES

Spaces Terminator Salvation VR

SPACES is a VR event-level gaming company that is releasing Terminator Salvation: Fight For The Future and is also currently working on Terminator Genisys: Time Machines; we totally get the feeling that SPACES is just getting warmed up where Terminator is concerned and that they will likely end up doing a VR game for the new Terminator movie. Don’t expect these games to be headed to a console anytime soon (maybe never) but expect these new VR experiences to start showing up a theme-parks and event environments.

Thanks to SPACES and a kind invitation we have some cool content to share with Terminator Fans. Raffael Dickreuter is a friend we made way back in the days of Terminator Salvation as he worked on the movie doing Pre-Viz,- so we thought who better to send out to experience Terminator Salvation VR than someone who worked in that world… ?

Raffael and the late great ‘Stan the Man’ Winston!

Raffael told TheTerminatorFans.com that the VR was very good and that SPACES did a great job. They have captured Terminator Salvation perfectly, even if many fans had trouble with Transforminators (Harvesters), the lack of true blue future war, or the way that the T-600’s were depicted from what was described in the original Terminator movie. Moving beyond those issues Terminator Salvation has become more liked with time, yes, the PG-13 tone damaged the movie and some mistakes were made but some fans did actually enjoy the movie and were disappointed that it didn’t continue on as a trilogy.

Check out some of the in-game captures…

This gallery of images show the lengths that SPACES went to in order to give fans a unique and fun experience while trying the game out at The Irvine Spectrum Center in California.
