Terminator: Resistance Fan Reviews and Opinions

Terminator: Resistance Video Game by Reef Entertainment

Terminator: Resistance finally received its North American release on January 7th and Terminator fans have been taking on SkyNet (yes, SkyNet not LEGION) in a race against time to aid John Connor in the war against the machines.

In our video review we ran through what we liked, and didn’t like, about the game but overall as Terminator Fans we see the game as a success and its value is increased if you’re a big Terminator Fan – because of the easter eggs, story and intellectual payoffs given to your fandom as you play.

Here are some thoughts from Terminator Fans who visit us on Youtube.

“Finally a game that actually feels like your part of the terminator universe. This is for me the best terminator game to date.”

Marcel Costache

“It’s not bad, it does a service to the fans and they did their best. Christ I played the game 3 times.”

Kenneth Bowers

“I enjoyed this game alot, the easter eggs are literally perfect!

I just think they should have flooded the levels with more enemies! Sometimes after killing a handful of t800s the level feels empty”

In our video review it was explained that we would like to see micro-transactions to allow an online multiplayer in the vein of Battlefield‘s conquest mode with Resistance vs SkyNet capture the flag maps.
We of course DO NOT mean PAY TO WIN but instead an honest way to validate investors to continue making content and support the game for the foreseeable future, instead of a situation where support is abruptly dropped. We could have costumes, character skins, weapon skins, premium maps etc.

In response to the idea of extending support fans also offered thoughts on what they would like to see in terms of an expansion to the game and we love some of these ideas…

“I want a DLC where you play as Reese in the final battle!”

Torrey Goz

“They could add a horde mode where you are trying to survive against increasingly difficult waves of enemies. Imagine a bigger map with one or more outposts in the center from where all the enemies could spawn nonstop. Or add a story DLC from the Stranger’s or Infiltrator’s perspective. Multiplayer would be cool as well, or a multiplayer horde mode. Direct PvP experience is another thing, for that you need more time and resources.”

Petr Švancara

“One way to keep the game alive is by giving us story expansion dlc. There are so many stories you could tell this way. There can be a dlc where you play as a t800 infiltrating a base. And you can choose the outcome. You can choose to murder everyone, or completely blend in with the crowd. One where you play as john connor would be pretty cool too. And maybe for fun, and if they get the rights, maybe they could go over to the legion timeline. Where you could fight rev-9’s and rev-7s. Teyon could easily expand the lore behind legion.”

The Outerviews Analysis

We think the Terminator rights holders, Reef and Teyon better get moving with online features and single-player expansion DLC’s if they want to live into the future.
