Terminator Merchandise Takeover

T-800 Endoskeleton Collectibles

With the eagerly anticipated; Terminator Genisys due to hit our screens this summer, it’s a good time to look at some of the different Terminator-related merchandise that has accompanied the films’ releases.

Gaming:

The dystopian sci-fi aesthetic of the Terminator films is something that lends itself perfectly to gaming. And there have been some notable titles that have just about managed to recreate the action and adrenaline of the films too.

From the original Terminator game released on the PC in 1990, there have been titles on the Gameboy, Amiga and Super Nintendo. But it wasn’t until the 2002 release of Terminator: The Dawn Of Fate on the PS2 and Xbox that Terminator gaming really got going.

We had new Terminator 3 games in 2003- following the release of the movie, and the greatness that is known as Terminator 3: The Redemption continued to show Terminator was viable to spawn games that gamers and fans wanted to play.

And with the last release being the third-person shooter Terminator: Salvation on PS3 and Xbox 360, it looks like we’re well overdue a bit of Terminator-based console action.

However, there are other ways that Terminator fans can get a current gaming fix, such as with Betsafe’s Terminator-branded online slot machine game, or even by playing T2 Pinball on PS4, XBOX ONE and PC by Farsight Studios.

Clothing

The Terminator franchise has also successfully applied itself to a variety of clothing. From a simple yet stylish black Salvation T-shirt to a wealth of T2:3D products that can be found at Universal Studios, it looks like there is no shortage of Terminator-related clothing, as long as you like the color black!

The Viking Store
are offering a limited-edition 25th anniversary black leather jacket styled on the one that Arnold Schwarzenegger wore in The Terminator. We haven’t seen these available in a while.

Action figures

Whilst the Terminator films might not have such a wide range of characters as say with films Star Wars, that doesn’t mean that it has been unable to enjoy having its own range of action figures.

NECA continues to grow in popularity and also the ReAction range of Terminator action figures offer fans some seriously retro fun as all of the main characters from Kyle Reese and Sarah Connor to the Terminator endoskeleton are featured in the popular figure series– complete with articulated arms!

Other items

And there is of course, a whole other universe out there of Terminator-related paraphernalia. From Cyberdyne mugs to thermos flasks topped with a plastic melted Arnie face, there is truly something for just about everyone.

But the ultimate prize for the true Terminator fan has to be the object that started it all – a perfect replica of the Terminator endo-arm!
