Terminator Genisys Airfield Set Location & Flying Action Scenes

It is known that at some point in Terminator: Genisys; Sarah Connor and the T-800 will acquire a helicopter. It is not know how the flying vehicle will be be utilized as a storytelling device but most likely it will be used to travel from point A to B with some carnage along the way- if previous Terminator installments are anything to go by.

Entertainment Weekly’s photoshoot for Terminator: Genisys took place while the movie was filming. Although these set photos didn’t go down well with fans,- those images are NOT an actual representation of the movie but they do offer insight into possible Terminator action scenes up in the skies (something possibly new and fresh for this series). Although Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines featured planes and helicopters it was highly disappointing as you never saw the T-800 take control of a flying vehicle or see him in one while flying. Salvation ramped up on Helicopters but it just wasn’t done well enough to make it iconic. The most iconic use of a helicopter in the Terminator series is obviously Terminator 2 and the pilot was the T-1000 (with multiple hands).

According to leaks Arnold Schwarzenegger will jump out of the Helicopter Sarah Connor is flying after delivering the classic line “I’ll be back” but it is unknown what he’ll be jumping down to, water? A RoboCop (2014) style land on the ground, or a deadly enemy that needs dealing with on the ground below? You will have to see the movie to find out what happens or catch the upcoming trailer for more speculation.

We know that due to the secrecy of the project a majority of the filming was done indoors and filming was indeed taking place inside a hangar located on the airfield we saw in promo images.

It is unknown which scenes were being filmed or if they relate to the airfield itself.

Fans now desperately anticipate a trailer; with the mass majority of fans (including ourselves) reserving true ‘Judgment’ of this movie and what the tone is going to be.
