Just a few hours after the Comic-Con panel (at SDCC 2019, 11 am – 12 pm), Paramount Pictures will be hosting a Reddit ‘Ask Me Anything’ live-stream video broadcast, to draw attention to the latest installment to the Terminator franchise.
“Arnold is back — and he and other cast members of “Terminator: Dark Fate” are joing a first-of-its-kind live-streaming Reddit AMA on Thursday from Comic-Con International in San Diego”.

Terminator: Dark Fate Director Tim Miller, and cast members, including – Arnold Schwarzenegger, Linda Hamilton, Mackenzie Davis, Gabriel Luna, Diego Boneta and Natalie Reyes, will be participating in the AMA on Reddit.
The stream will be hosted by the former face of an app called ‘HQ Trivia’.
The AMA will include the highly anticipated new footage/trailer for Terminator: Dark Fate, – which will be shown on Reddit before Paramount Pictures circulates the footage through their social media platforms.
The Reddit.com homepage will be hosting the AMA in what, variety calls, a “takeover unit”, and fans of the Terminator franchise will be able to post questions up to two hours before the event goes live (again TBC on the exact time).
The post will contain the embedded video – the screen will be blank until the stream begins.
Paramount Pictures are calling the event “Hall R” of Comic-Con 2019 – the actual event will be streamed offsite from the convention in San Diego, at an undisclosed location.

“So much time and energy goes into creating these panels for Comic-Con, and we felt ‘Hall R’ with Reddit was the perfect digital extension for the Comic-Con experience. Because you couldn’t do this with the whole cast in text format – it’s hard enough to follow AMA when it’s just one person. We want fans to feel like they’ve gotten a personal glimpse into how this movie was made.”

Reddit is becoming a more widely used platform for studios to promote their movies to prospective audiences/fans – it allows for a more underground approach to marketing and more freedom to promote to selected audiences in an almost limitless and cost-effective way.
