Terminator 6 NOT TERMINATED – Producer CONFIRMS Terminator 2 Sequel!

David Ellison Skydance Terminator 6

We knew it wasn’t over! Now David Ellison of Skydance has stated the following to Collider news

“I will say we have resolved the future of the franchise and believe me its an incredibly bright future. I think where it’s going will be the continuation of what the fans really wanted since T2.”

“We have something this year that we will be announcing for the franchise. It’s something we’re incredibly excited about and we think is the direction it needs to head.”

There we have it… Terminator Fans are going to get the Terminator 2 Sequel they always wanted (hopefully). It appears that David Ellison is listening to the fans and we couldn’t be more pleased. David Ellison is the owner of Skydance Productions; Skydance told us a while back that they wanted to try something different (with Genisys), they did and it didn’t work out. This was a collaboration with Paramount Pictures so they can’t take all the blame.

David Ellison didn’t have to try again with Terminator- but he is, and we admire the fact he is getting up, dusting off the debris and is going at Terminator again;- this time with series creator James Cameron on board to give it another shot.

Our favorite David Ellison produced film was the independent “True Grit” remake, that movie had heart. If Ellison and Skydance can take Terminator independent and away from total commercialism, then hell, we believe this could be the movie fans have been waiting for.

Terminator 2 Sequel? Count us in!

Yesterday we ran an article on which characters/actors we would like to see participate in a T2 sequel… while we don’t know what direction Ellison will take with Cameron and Miller at this point in time; it is more than nice to imagine some familiar faces return for a REAL TERMINATOR TRILOGY!

Could the big announcement planned be the return of Schwarzenegger and Linda Hamilton? We hope so!

Good luck David, Jim and Tim… you now have our attention piqued!
