Terminator 3 And Salvation Are Coming Back To Netflix

Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines and Terminator Salvation are heading back to NETFLIX in the New Year for Terminator Fans who like to digitally stream the movies.

While James Cameron didn’t return to the franchise after the huge box office success of Terminator 2: Judgment Day; Hollywood did try to continue the story on without him, especially when fans were eager to part with their money for more of a good thing. Though sometimes, as many Terminator Fans can surely now attest, more isn’t always better.

The franchise rights have changed hands many times over the years; moving from studio to studio with each new controlling hand eager to stamp their own vision of the future upon the series, with varying results (depending on who you ask).

Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines

Jonathan Mostow stepped into the breach to direct 2003’s T3. Mr. Mostow, known for Breakdown and U-571, negotiated with C-2 Pictures to helm the third Terminator movie, a movie which was set to star Arnold Schwarzenegger and Edward Furlong (the latter was ultimately replaced with Nick Stahl).

A reprogrammed T-850 Terminator (Arnold Schwarzenegger) from the future is in a race against time to acquire John Connor (Nick Stahl) to protect him from SkyNet‘s most formidable Terminator yet… The T-X (Kristanna Loken).

Terminator Salvation

For the 2009 installment McG was brought in by The Halcyon Company to direct a Terminator movie set n the post-apocalyptic future, starring Christian Bale as T4’s incarnation of John Connor.

Sarah Connor (Linda Hamilton) warned her son John about the future, but things are not as they were foretold.
John Connor (Christian Bale) is forced to put his trust a half human-half Terminator Hybrid called Marcus Wright (Sam Worthington), in order to ensure the safety of his father Kyle Reese (Anton Yelchin) and foil the plans of SkyNet; a nefarious rogue computer system which plans to put a new Terminator unit (T-800) into mass production.

Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines and Terminator Salvation return to Netflix on January 1st 2021.
