I knew about the windshield replacement beforehand, so I watched the scene closely. I couldn’t see any weird fx, as if nothing was wrong with it. Very well done. Another thing that caught my attention was the stunt double on the bike scenes (bike jumping into the canal and stunt reaching to pick John Connor up from his bike)… I could swear that they replaced the stunt double’s face with Arnold’s. But I’m not 100% sure.
In a Q&A James Cameron stated that the only digital tweak/fix he did was the windshield gag from the drainage canal chase sequence;- we took Jim’s word that this was the only alteration, but Daniel Yanez was completely correct Peter Kent has had his face digitally swapped out with Schwarzenegger’s yet Edward Furlong’s stunt double hasn’t had a “face replace” tweak…
