It was reported that Terminator 2 3D would receive two new video games in conjunction with the re-release of the film. One game is presumably this mobile game and the other will be a VR game. Although it wasn’t so long ago that Jim said VR is a “yawn” and that ” It’s a little rough on the vestibular system”.
Terminator 2 a new sandbox post-apocalyptic mobile MMORPG that blends role playing, shooting, racing and action gameplay together. The game is set in the wasteland where some havoc takes place and aliens start to attack human. Thanks to the new self-developed 3D engine NeoX, Project: The Wild will provide players wildest racing experience, stunning graphics as well as immersive quest system and storyline.
Western Terminator fans may also never get to play this Terminator game…
There is no information about the launch date and whether this game will land in western, so pleased stay tuned for updates.
It almost looks like a mad max game that bundled in Arnold afterwards, it looks more like Terminator Salvation… are those supposed to T-600’s that look like Jason from Friday the 13th wearing some kind of sporting gear with shields?
Arnold looks like a GTA Online character mod Arnold Schwarzenegger as he runs and flails around like a Chocobo from the Final Fantasy games.
Also worrying is the appearance of a fucking Transforminator…
A closer look at the Transforminator… is this franchise even recognizable anymore? Pacific Rim meets Transformers – meets Godzilla – meets Power Rangers – meets Terminator Genisys!
We really don’t know what to say at this point,- wasn’t The Harvester in Terminator Salvation pushing it a tad too far already? Maybe the power rangers are the enemy of the game?
The only positive we can get out of this game is the Grenade belt and the “Power Arm” like we saw on the Kenner Action figures; which will be an obvious upgrade in the game and is a nice touch for collectors. The resistance also appear to be running around but it just looks too bright, too cheery and too PG-13 for a movie that is R Rated.
The game doesn’t appear to make any coherent sense… is it a prequel of some sort to Terminator 2?
Maybe Cameron needs to oversee these games too because this is reminding us too much of Terminator Genisys, they even have the same font going on in this trailer but if the game was never intended for the west then it wasn’t made for all the fans anyway.
Oh yes, you play as Arnold… would have been nice to play as Sarah Connor, T-1000 and John too? Oh well. More one liners from Uncle ‘lugnuts’ Bob then. It would’ve been great to Bring Michael Biehn back for a T2 prequel game… a missed opportunity.
While we anticipate T23D and wish great things for the release… this all feels a little underwhelming at this stage, the marketing and game is only marginally better than the marketing travesty of Genisys and this is marketing an existing movie that was actually good.
We really don’t think these games are going to offer the fans much, more of a benefit to viral marketing and the game will probably be free and have those adverts like the Genisys mobile games did. Not sure why they even bothered. The fans really want high-production value open world console games that can be played online and offline and add to the world and story of the first two movies.
If T2 broke new ground in film-making in 1991 then in the gaming world of 2016 it just isn’t. Also disallowing fans from the west from playing it seems drastic, at least let us try the the thing.
Before being official announced the game was titled #THEWILD to disguise the project and was said to be set in the wasteland…
