We previously covered the potential arrival of a Terminator 2: Judgment Day playable skin in the battle royale game Fortnite, and given the mountain of clues which had been growing over the last few weeks (and months); the likelihood of it actually happening had become pretty much a dead cert.
Clues included a pair of sunglasses sent out to Fortnite influencers in a care package, the style of which looked reminiscent of the Persol glasses worn by Arnold Schwarzenegger‘s T-800 (affectionately known as ‘Uncle Bob‘) in T2. The game had already had the appearance of a T-3500 Terminator (AKA Travis Scott), and, a while back, the T2 Sarah Connor clothing made iconic by Linda Hamilton also made an appearance along with an easter egg taking Terminator Fans back to Sarah Connor’s nightmare.
More recently, the Epic Games property dropped the Winchester Lever-Action Shotgun (wielded by Schwarzenegger in the second Terminator movie) into the game in the form of loot drops – right before a portal with the flickering image of the T2 Cyberdyne Systems vault, accompanied by the sound of Brad Fiedel‘s score, which made it seem even more likely that a Terminator skin was on the horizon.
Over the last twenty-four hours, the imminent arrival of a playable skin for a Terminator 2 character had become more of a waiting game; when Fortnite released a teaser trailer for the next ‘hunter’ with the following text:
“:: Incoming Transmission – Reality Log 991 ::
Fortnite
Targets Description: A ruthless machine and a protector of the future”
The audio states:
“impending global doom, time travel, paradoxes… oh yeah she’ll fit right in”

The use of “she’ll” suggested a single character skin, but it was important to also note the plural use of “Targets” as opposed to “Target’s” – implying, as we’d already surmised, a double pack, possibly featuring Sarah Connor and Uncle Bob…
Now, following a screenshot from the Playstation Store, we finally have confirmation as to the identity of the latest hunters to join the colorful Fortnite battleground: Terminator 2: Judgment Day’s Sarah Connor, and a fleshless Endoskeleton – thankfully the T2 endoskeleton design, and not yet another Terminator: Dark Fate identity crisis looking to avoid a slight breeze.
