Rumored Kyle Reese Paul Walker Dies in Car Accident

Paul Walker and his friend were both instantly killed yesterday when their vehicle collided with a street light. Paul was on the way to a charity event for his own organization ‘Reach Out Worldwide’. Paul was a passenger in the Porsche Sports Car.

He starred in all the ‘Fast and Furious’ movies except for the last one (6). He has a suspenseful drama called ‘Hours’ which will be released this month.

The crash reportedly happened in the community of Valencia. After the initial impact into the street light the Porsche went into flames

Official statement on Paul Walker’s official Facebook Page:

“It is with a truly heavy heart that we must confirm that Paul Walker passed away today in a tragic car accident while attending a charity event for his organization Reach Out Worldwide,”

Universal Studios statement:

“Paul was truly one of the most beloved and respected members of our studio family for 14 years, and this loss is devastating to us, to everyone involved with the Fast & Furious films, and to countless fans.

“We send our deepest and most sincere condolences to Paul’s family.”

Universal Studios was one of the film companies interested in buying the rights to make a 5th Terminator movie. After The Halcyon Company didn’t have major success with Terminator Salvation they had to sell their rights. Sony, Universal all wanted to buy the rights… The winner of the purchase and highest bidder was not a movie company but instead a hedge-fund called Pacificor LLC.

So the investment company then gave one of Universal’s prize directors of action blockbuster movies (Justin Lin) a call. They gave him the task of creating a couple of pitches that may entice buyers and his name was attached as director to the project.

Megan Ellison then bought those rights and launched Annapurna Films. Justin Lin pitches involved either a reboot or a continuation. His continuation given the title ‘Terminator 2012’ would have seen original cast return like Linda Hamilton and Michael Biehn as their present day selves. His other pitch would have seen Paul Walker possibly play Kyle Reese. Which we were against because we didn’t want a reboot personally.

Annapurna obviously wanted to do something different than what Lin had in mind and opted for a full reboot instead it seems.

Vin Diesel had meetings with Jonathan Mostow to play a bad Terminator in Terminator 3. We also referred to a Justin Lin Terminator movie as kind of a Terminator/Fast and Furious hybrid movie in which Vin, Walker and others would have been in the 5th Terminator movie.

Universal were very interested in the project and may have had some power over a Justin Lin ‘vehicle’ Terminator movie.

So this is the full story on how Paul came to be rumored as a new possible Kyle Reese.

We are sad to hear Paul has passed and we send our best wishes to his loved ones and those of his friend…

Check out his charitable organization ‘Reach Out Worldwide’ which helps worldwide disasters and provides relief to those in need and if you can; make a donation here www.roww.org/donate

Be sure to check out his new movie this month. Hopefully the studio will make a contribution to his charity from the proceeds of ticket sales.
