RIP ‘Predator’ Actor Sonny Landham and Update on Final Days

Recently we wrote a public letter to Arnold Schwarzenegger about Sonny Landham and his deteriorating health/condition and sadly it was too late to get help from the Austrian Oak AKA Dutch.

Variety reports that Sonny has passed away after heart failure.

Actor Sonny Landham, who appeared in “Predator” and “48 Hrs,” died from congestive heart failure Thursday in Lexington, Ky. He was 76.

Around August 10th TheTerminatorFans.com were in contact with friends of Sonny’s and it was thought he had died when wrong information got out between his circle of friends after his life support had been turned off. On a call to the hospital it was found out that Sonny was indeed alive. Sonny who played Billy was a fighter though and on switching off the life support he did not pass but he fought on for well over a week.

Sonny was suffering some breathing issues that initially put him in the hospital. There was hope that friends could care for him on coming out of hospital, until he had recovered.

Friends of Sonny Landham Matty Holem and Julia Holem said:

Sonny is a sweet man and would be happy to hear people in the world still love him…

In a phonecall to Sonny, Sonny asked his friend Matty to pass on the following message to TheTerminatorFans.com

He said to tell you thank you for thinking about him…

Although Sonny was initially talking his health took a turn for the worse. He later was having more difficulty speaking and his health was failing.

TheTerminatorFans.com was planning to do a fundraiser to help Sonny… but sadly we were too late.

The final message we received from his friend Matty was the following:

Sonny was a good person. He always had a smile on his face and he loved to spend time with his son Moe.

RIP Sonny Landham, you were loved by many and we are so very sorry we didn’t learn of your hardship sooner.

We have put the following image together for any Predator Fans that may want to use this as a cover photo, or post to Facebook etc.

Predator remains our favorite Arnold movie (outside of the Terminator Franchise). RIP Billy!
