TERMINATOR 2: JUDGMENT DAY (1991)

376. The Terminator’s (Arnold Schwarzenegger) Sunglasses M

The Terminator’s (Arnold Schwarzenegger) sunglasses from James Cameron’s sci-fi action sequel Terminator 2: Judgment Day. The Terminator stole a pair of sunglasses from the owner of a biker bar, and wore them in several scenes. They were ultimately destroyed while The Terminator and John Connor (Edward Furlong) were freeing John’s mother Sarah (Linda Hamilton) from the Pescadero State Hospital.

Originally obtained from stuntman Larry Johnson, the sunglasses feature a black plastic frame with tinted lenses, and each arm is decorated with two silver coloured lines. The glasses exhibit signs of wear from production use, including minor scratching on the lenses and scuffing on the frame. Dimensions: 14 cm x 15 cm x 4.5 cm (5 ½” x 5 ¾” x 1 ¾”)

Estimate: £3,000 – 5,000

T-1000’s (Robert Patrick) SFX Bullet-hit Police Shirt M

A T-1000 (Robert Patrick) special effects bullet-hit police shirt from James Cameron’s sci-fi action sequel Terminator 2: Judgment Day. The T-1000 wore its shirt during the asylum sequence as it pursued The Terminator (Arnold Schwarzenegger), Sarah Connor (Linda Hamilton) and her son John (Edward Furlong). The Terminator and Sarah both shot it with their shotgun and pistol respectively, punching holes in the T-1000’s liquid-metal body.

The navy polyester-blend shirt is based on a police uniform and features 12 silver[1]coloured foam-latex bullet holes affixed to a fibreglass chest piece, which is hidden under the shirt’s front. These pieces are rigged with cables and servos that trigger them to appear quickly, representing gunshot impacts. In addition, a zip runs down the back of the shirt. There is paint wear, signs of deterioration on the foam latex, and one of the larger holes has become distorted over time. Contains electronic and mechanical components; see electronic and mechanical components notice in the Buyer’s Guide.

Estimate: £6,000 – 8,000

378. Full-size T-800 Endoskeleton Ω

A T-800 Terminator Endoskeleton from James Cameron’s sci-fi action sequel Terminator 2: Judgment Day. Renowned for its groundbreaking visual effects, Terminator 2 combined both practical and newly pioneered digital effects to set the new standard for action blockbusters, garnering numerous Academy Awards® for its technical achievements.

The genocidal machines were created by Cameron’s long-time collaborator, Stan Winston, who originally helped bring them to life in The Terminator. Stan Winston Studio was tasked with creating numerous Endoskeletons for the sequel’s “Future War” opening sequence, including both cable-controlled puppets and static Endoskeletons. The T-800 Terminator Endoskeleton is the signature piece from one of the most beloved science fiction franchises in cinema.

The Terminator 2 Endoskeletons were actively rebuilt during and after production of the film; some pieces were harvested for use in the Universal theme park attraction T2-3D: Battle Across Time and other related needs. This particular Endoskeleton was modified to be used in the planned Las Vegas show for magician Criss Angel, a project that Stan Winston Studios collaborated on.

The Endoskeleton is primarily made of chrome-plated resin, with steel and aluminium components. An internal support armature is located in the torso and engineered into some of the limbs, such as the lower legs. This model comprises a combination of original production components, complemented by reproduction parts created from original moulds including the lower left arm, parts of the right arm, and both feet.

The head is a reproduction created by Stan Winston Studios, complete with red[1]coloured illuminating eyes powered by an included 210/240V power supply. There are cable loops present on both shoulders. The lot has been intentionally distressed all over, creating a battle-damaged appearance, and the right foot is missing a toe. The Endoskeleton comes mounted on a metal display base, and care must be taken during handling. Dimensions: 33 cm x 60 cm x 182 cm (13” x 23 ¾” x 71 ¾”)

Contains electronics; see electronics notice in the Buyer’s Guide. Special shipping required; see special shipping notice in the Buyer’s Guide.

Estimate: £60,000 – 80,000

1046. T-1000 (Robert Patrick) ILM Scanning Police Helmet M

A T-1000 (Robert Patrick) ILM scanning police helmet from James Cameron’s sci-fi action sequel Terminator 2: Judgment Day. Robert Patrick wore this helmet at Industrial Light & Magic (ILM) for digital laser scanning, which contributed to the film’s breakthrough “liquid metal” CG effects. It appeared in The Making of Terminator 2: Judgment Day documentary. The fibreglass and resin Bell police motorcycle helmet was modified for the digital scanning process, with white paint applied over the dark areas and several “X” markings in blue marker. It is marked “7 3/8, 59” on the interior and lined with padded foam. It comes with a custom-made display head featuring Patrick’s likeness, complete with sunglasses. Some foam has disintegrated over time. Dimensions: 29 cm x 22 cm x 26 cm (11 ½” x 8 ¾” x 10 ¼”)

Estimate: £1,000 – 1,500

TERMINATOR SALVATION (2009)

379. Light-up T-800 Endoskeleton Head M

A light-up T-800 endoskeleton head from McG’s sci-fi sequel Terminator Salvation. This head was created specifically for the Endoskeleton assembly line sequence near the conclusion of the film.

The head is made of heavy polyurethane foam and is finished with a textured dull-chrome effect. The teeth are finished in an off-white varnish. The eyes remain functional, glowing red when a button is pressed at the base of the skull. The head has some wear from production use and age, including scuffing and scratches, and is displayed on a custom[1]made display stand featuring the film’s title, which illuminates via a button at the back of the base. Dimensions (displayed): 20 cm x 19 cm x 37 cm (8” x 7 ½” x 14 ½”)

Contains electronics; see electronics notice in the Buyer’s Guide.

Estimate: £5,000 – 7,000

John Connor’s (Christian Bale) Battle Costume Ω

John Connor’s (Christian Bale) battle costume from McG’s sci-fi action film Terminator Salvation. Connor wore his costume during the final battle at the Skynet facility where he faced off against a T-800 terminator (Arnold Schwarzenegger).

This costume consists of one nylon, rubber, plastic, and metal black tactical vest with a buckled front; one dark green cotton-blend jacket with a red arm band; one olive green cotton undershirt; a pair of black leather fingerless gloves; a navy cotton strap with fastening strip details; a black nylon wrist strap featuring three plastic grenades; a pair of grey cotton-blend cargo trousers with brown rubber knee pads; a green padded nylon strap affixed with a black plastic gun holster; and a pair of black cotton and rubber boots with brown laces. The costume has been intentionally weathered by the production with frayed edges, torn holes, and stains throughout.

Estimate: £4,000 – 6,000

TERMINATOR GENISYS (2015)

381. Terminator’s (Arnold Schwarzenegger) Costume Display with Silicone Head Replica US

TERMINATOR GENISYS (2015) The Terminator’s (Arnold Schwarzenegger) costume display with a silicone head on display mannequin from Alan Taylor’s sci-fi action adventure sequel Terminator Genisys. The T-800 “Guardian” Terminator wore his costume while he teamed with Sarah Connor (Emilia Clarke) to prevent Skynet from becoming sentient in a fractured timeline. This Terminator costume consists of a charcoal-colour zip-up jacket; a grey cotton T-shirt; a pair of grey cargo trousers marked “GUARDIAN 2”; and a pair of black rubber and leather lace-up boots. The costume is presented on a custom display with a replica Terminator head made from silicone with a realistic paint finish and hand-punched hair. It is displayed on a custom base with a layer of grating on the top. The costume shows wear from age and use throughout including deliberate weathering on several of the clothing items added by production. Dimensions: 71.25 cm x 56 cm x 198.35 cm (28” x 22” x 78”)
