Popcorn Causes Terminator Producer to Storm Out of The Terminator Screening

The Terminator (1984) Producer Gale Anne Hurd decided to go and watch the first movie; she made with James Cameron as part of ‘The Singularity’ a screening of various movies from the sci-fi genre (mainly movies featuring plots of sci-fi and elements of artificial intelligence) at The Metrograph in New York City…

The problem was that this Terminator legend has an extreme fondness for regular popcorn when visiting theaters, to many a basic requirement was not on offer… the substitute? $6 Salt and Olive Popcorn? The hipster trend continues…

According to the tweet Gale Anne Hurd will NOT BE BACK…

The Metrograph responded with the following tweet…

An offer of free popcorn… would that be the salt and olive variety? Or will a Regular Popcorn be swiftly added to the menu should THE HURDINATOR ever systematically target The Metrograph again for free popcorn, which currently seems unlikely?

You would think that regular popcorn would be on offer when watching retro movies but hey… The Metrograph are lucky that they didn’t have The Terminator itself attending the screening, The Terminator can be seen with Gale after both buying their popcorn for the 30th anniversary screening.

As always we anticipate the return of Gale Anne Hurd to the franchise, we really have missed her and Jim helming the movies and things were never the same after T2…
