Deadline.com has released news that the new trilogy is going ahead. Now we were very skeptical of the new trilogy being rushed because they only have until 2018 to make the proposed trilogy. In 2018 a legal loophole will see the series creator James Cameron back in control of the franchise he sold for a dollar cup of coffee. This in no way means that he will be making a new Terminator movie, he may just stop people from making any more films.
Now back to the trilogy news… websites are now reporting that this new trilogy will be filmed back to back over a period of nine months. This doesn’t gel with us correctly as previous reports stated that #TG would film for a period of a few months… to top that off the original source (deadline) says the following…
The second and third films will be done back to back over nine months. The first film gets underway shortly in Louisiana.
We say listen to deadline on this and not other sites miscommunication. Filming 3 movies back to back seems ludicrous but filming 2 movies back to back seems much more plausible much like the Matrix sequels were being shot back to back around the release of the third Terminator movie.
So there you have it, it isn’t concrete yet but plans are underway to ensure a new Terminator trilogy will be released before Jimbo cashes in on the cow that is the Terminator franchise.
