NECA CINEMACHINES Die-Cast Terminator 2 Aerial and Ground HK Units

HK NECA Terminator 2 T2 CINEMACHINES

These collectibles were meant to be released a while back but it seemed like a tactical decision to delay the release to be closer to the release of Terminator 2: 3D, which of course makes total sense.

Official NECA CINEMACHINES product line description:

Celebrate some of the most iconic vehicles from film and television with CINEMACHINES die-cast collectibles! These exceptionally detailed pieces are made from die-cast metal and plastic that’s carefully hand painted and ready to add to your collection.

NECA Ground HK Hunter Killer Tank:

First up is the Hunter Killer tank also known to fans as the ‘Ground HK’. The tanks themselves appeared in both the first two Terminator movies in the future war scenes and were designed by James Cameron himself from studying military designs and adapting them into his own futuristic designs.

Ground HK’s spend most of their time riding over and crushing the skulls of fallen humans and firing holes into living ones with precision from the duel phased plasma canons. The Ground HK is fully unmanned (no Endoskeleton’s do not drive them); they are fully autonomous killing machines.

At 6.5” in length, the Hunter Killer Tank from T2: Judgment Day is longer and also more massive than the average CINEMACHINE to reflect its deadly nature. It features working treads that roll over its wheels, and the wheels themselves pivot to raise or lower the tank for variable terrain. Also features a rotating “head.”

For a 6.5 Inch length NECA continues to deliver affordable and worthwhile collectibles to The Terminator Fans and the Ground HK Tank has been in demand for some time, so this will be a must have for many fans. Also more kudos to NECA for breaking rules to allow the length to be longer than the standard to allow the HK to be done justice in this smaller scale format.

NECA Flying HK Aerial Hunter Killer Unit:

You can’t have a Ground HK without a flying HK and vice versa, the units work in unison to take down the human resistance/any survivors in the ravage post-apocalyptic wasteland of our future.

Like the Ground HK the Flying HK is unmanned (no- Endoskeleton’s do not fly inside them and smile with white shit eating grins). Flying HK’s AKA Aerial Hunter Killer’s have appeared in every Terminator movie albeit with design changes to avoid paying for Jim Cameron’s original designs.

Each exceptionally detailed piece measures 5-6” long and is made from die-cast metal and plastic that’s carefully hand painted and ready to add to your collection. From Terminator 2: Judgment Day, the Hunter Killer Aerial features an articulated cannon that turns and pivots up and down. Display stand included.

The detail is exceptional and looks really good, who wouldn’t want one of these?

NECA’s CINEMACHINES line are using the authentic Jim Cameron designs from the first two Terminator movies and we really appreciate it! We have no time for lackluster sequels which have devalued the franchise, they are inauthentic and feel like cheap bootleg knock offs and we won’t tolerate it anymore. The lesson is don’t redesign perfection and don’t make a Terminator movie without the original creators in charge, stop wasting our time. If the movie isn’t good- the majority switch off on the collectibles anyway. Personally TheTerminatorFans.com staff were pumped and ready to buy McFarlane’s T3 figure range on seeing the movie; we decided to not buy them and that is the sad fact. Why would you want to buy collectibles that remind you of a movie you hate or lets you down?

Thankfully NECA is not wasting our time with these 2 fantastic collectibles and we believe they will do very well with the fans and in sales. The HK units will bring back fond memories and not just for forced nostalgia’s sake. This is classic Terminator right here- and we approve!
