NECA have recently been re-releasing past figures back into production, to deal with toy scalping. Toy scalping is when people bulk buy the same collectible/figure with the intention of holding on to, then selling the collectible at a higher price later down the line, and toy collectors/consumers are unhappy about it because it makes the initial run harder to obtain in availability and price. NECA doesn’t like it either, so they are giving us reissues.
For example we have seen Terminator NECA favorites such as Terminator 2: Judgment Day’s Ultimate T-800 Figure and T2 Kenner tribute figures; Power Arm T-800, Metal Mash Endoskeleton and White Hot T-1000 being restocked by your trusted retailers.
Now Sarah Connor (Linda Hamilton) and John Connor (Edward Furlong) are set to be sold as a double pack – which should please any Terminator Fan who missed out on the original releases.
The big deal of course, is John Connor here, as he was an SDCC exclusive. In keeping with ‘exclusive’, it looks like John in this release will not come with a dirt bike and will not have the interchangeable T2-3D: Battle Across Time ‘bandana’ head but the Endo Arm and the hacking device are included along with his backpack.
